Will the 272-3-02 fit my truck?

The 272-3-02 is 72-1/4" long and fits a full-size 6-1/2' standard bed or an 8' long bed, riding on top of one side rail. Its low 16" height keeps it below the cab line on most trucks. On a 5-1/2' short bed it will overhang, so measure your rail length first. It is not designed for mid-size or compact pickups.

Does it require drilling to install?

No. The box ships with under-rail brackets and hardware, so it clamps to the top of your bed side rail without drilling. Most installs take about 30 to 45 minutes and go easiest with two people to lift and hold the 72" box while you tighten the hardware.

Is this the steel box or the aluminum one?

Each of the two side doors opens a wide 33" by 12-1/4" mouth into the 8.9ft³ interior, so long, awkward items load easily from either side. The doors carry a drill-resistant lock core with three-point latching, swing 90 to 180 degrees, and lift off on tool-less QuickClips. The slim 13-1/4" depth suits hand tools, levels and long thin gear more than bulky cases.
