Keep your sight lines wide open and your payload light with the Weather Guard 11902-52-01 open frame aluminum headache rack. Instead of a mesh or slatted panel, the open frame is a single arched bar above the cab, so it is the most visible and the lightest of the four Weather Guard aluminum racks and leaves plenty of clearance for hauling ladders or long material. It is built from corrosion-resistant aluminum with a matte black ARMOR TUF powder coat, mounts on the bed rails just behind the cab, and adjusts for height to clear the cab on full-size pickups. Mounting brackets and hardware are included, and even the open frame carries the accessory channel so you can add Weather Guard light brackets, cargo stops and tie-downs.

Open Frame, Highest Visibility
The open frame is a single arched bar over the cab with no mesh or slats below it, so it gives the clearest rear view and the most open feel of the four Weather Guard aluminum racks. It still marks and protects the space behind the cab while keeping your back glass and mirrors wide open.

Installation

Type: Bed-rail mount behind the cab, included brackets and hardware  ·  Time: About 30 to 45 minutes  ·  Tools: Socket or wrench set and a tape measure; the mounting brackets and hardware are included  ·  Difficulty: Easy, the open frame is the lightest rack so it is the simplest of the four to set in place

Assemble the legs to the frame, set the rack on the bed rails just behind the cab, and secure it with the included brackets and hardware. Adjust the leg height so the bar clears the back of the cab, then tighten the hardware evenly. Because the open frame is light, one person can usually manage it, though a second set of hands still helps. Follow the Weather Guard instructions for bracket placement and re-check the fasteners after the first drive.
