For the newer bed, Ford's 2025 sheet repeats the 2026 figures, both give a maximum inside width of 62.4 in, and the 2026 sheet adds an opening width at the floor of 53.7 in.
2024 to 2026 Ranger: one 4.97-ft box
Ford's 2025 and 2026 sheets list a single box, the 4.97-ft box on the SuperCrew. At the floor it runs 59.6 in and at the top of the rail 57.9 in. The width between the wheel wells grew to 48.2 in, up from 44.8 in on the 2019 specs.
Cover makers split on this bed: in our catalog 37 listings for 2024 to 2026 call it 5' and 43 call it 5'1", the same label the 2019 to 2023 SuperCrew uses. 2019 to 2023 Ranger: 5-ft SuperCrew and 6-ft SuperCab
The published 2019 Ranger specs pair the 5-ft box with the SuperCrew and the 6-ft box with the SuperCab. The SuperCab box is about 11.8 in longer at the floor than the SuperCrew box, and both are 44.8 in between the wheel wells.
On the 2019 to 2023 trucks the labels sit close to the floor length: 61.0 in is about 5 ft 1 in and 72.8 in about 6 ft 1 in, so these beds are listed as 5'1" and 6'1". Ford calls the long one a 6-ft box, but in our catalog the 6' label belongs to the 1983 to 2011 Ranger, so a cover listed as 6' is not the 2019 to 2023 SuperCab part. Why the cover size is not Ford's size
Ford names its boxes by rough length (5-ft, 6-ft and now 4.97-ft), and cover makers use their own labels in feet and inches. Three differences cause most mix-ups:
- Ford's 5-ft box on the 2019 to 2023 SuperCrew is a 5'1" cover bed.
- Ford's 4.97-ft box on the 2024 to 2026 SuperCrew is listed as 5' by some covers (the BAK Revolver X4s, Access Vanish and Roll-N-Lock A-Series) and as 5'1" by others (the BAKFlip MX4, RetraxPRO MX and Extang Trifecta 2.0).
- Our catalog counts 85 Ranger listings at 5'1" (42 for 2019 to 2023 and 43 for 2024 to 2026), 37 at 5' (all 2024 to 2026), 31 at 6'1" (all 2019 to 2023) and 16 at 6' (all 1983 to 2011).

Skip it if you want a hard shell to lean on: the soft top is not rated like the hard covers above, and a 2-star owner called it light duty. Like any soft cover it is weather-resistant rather than watertight, and some owners report leaks or a tarp that flaps at speed.
What fits in the bed
Plywood sheets are 48 in across, and the 2024 to 2026 bed is 48.2 in between the wheel wells, so a sheet lies flat with 0.2 in to spare. The 2019 to 2023 beds are 44.8 in, so a full sheet rests on top of the wheel wells or must be cut down.
Length is just as limited. A full 8-ft sheet or longer load needs the tailgate down. A dirt bike or any load longer than the floor rides with the tailgate down. Neither Ford sheet lists a tailgate-down length, so measure from the bulkhead to the lowered tailgate before you buy a ramp.
Ford's 2026 sheet puts the open tailgate 34.7 in off the ground (36.1 in on the Raptor) and lists maximum payload from 1,767 lb (2.3L 4x2) down to 1,373 lb (Raptor).
