Description & Fitment
The ATB A-HC is an aluminum diamond tread plate crossover saddle box that spans the bed rails behind the cab. ATB offers it as the medium duty A-HC3 or the heavy duty A-HC4, each with an advanced push-button lock and a top-open lid on self-powered gas springs. The extra deep lid opening and pro-sliding tray make tools easy to reach. ATB includes the M3500R mounting kit and builds the box in the USA.
Fitment & Compatibility
How to choose: measure your bed rail to rail to pick the width (62" or 72"), then choose the depth (20" to 28") and height (16" or 18") that leave the bed space and rear-window clearance you need.
Duty: A-HC3 part numbers are medium duty, A-HC4 part numbers heavy duty. Finish: -TT is diamond tread plate, -TTBX is textured black (BX).
The M3500R mounting kit is included; ATB says HC boxes pair with its HS Series side boxes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit my full-size pickup?
ATB says its full-size crossover boxes fit full-size trucks. Measure rail to rail and compare with the width in the table, and check the depth against your bed.
How do I measure for a crossover box?
Measure your bed rail to rail (outside edge to outside edge) to choose the width, then check the depth against the space you want to keep in the bed and the height against your rear window and any rack.
What is the difference between the A-HC3 and A-HC4?
ATB rates the A-HC3 as medium duty and the A-HC4 as heavy duty. Both have the diamond tread plate build, push-button lock, gas spring lid and sliding tray.
Does it come with mounting hardware?
Yes. ATB includes the M3500R mounting kit as standard.
What is the difference between the -TT and -TTBX part numbers?
The -TT part numbers are diamond tread plate; the -TTBX part numbers have ATB's textured black (BX) finish.
Can I add side boxes?
Yes. ATB says HC Series saddle boxes can be combined with its HS Series side mount boxes.
Installation
- 1/2" ratchet wrench
- 1/2" wrench

Here's the short version. Follow ATB's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact positions and hardware.
- Check all parts against the parts list and make sure there is room to mount the box.
- Set the box on the bed rails right behind the cab to confirm the fit. Slotted holes are predrilled in the box.
- Remove the box and apply the 3" rubber strip to its mounting surface.
- Set the box back on top of the bed rails or bed sides.
- Insert the four J-bolts (two each side) from inside the box and add the washers and nuts.
- Center the box about 1/8" from the front of the pickup bed and tighten all nuts securely.

Inspect on delivery
Check the box when the freight arrives, before the driver leaves: look over the lids, doors, corners and welds for dents, scratches or shipping damage. Note any damage on the delivery receipt and send us photos. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
