Description & Fitment
The ATB A-IB51 is an aluminum in-frame box that sits between the frame rails behind a semi-truck cab. Its smooth .125 aluminum body carries a .125 diamond tread top-open lid, braced with channel so the lid serves as a platform. The lid hangs on a full-length stainless steel hinge, closes with a padlockable adjustable latch and seals with an automotive-type weather seal. ATB includes the mounting kit.

How do I measure for it?
Measure the open space between and along the frame rails, and the height up to the deck plate or fifth wheel, then compare with 13"H x 18"D x 24"W.
Is a mounting kit included?
Yes. ATB includes the M3101F kit; the box is predrilled and clamps to the frame.
Does it come with a padlock?
No. The latch takes your own padlock. ATB's A-IB52 is the T-handle lock version.
Can I stand on the lid?
ATB reinforces the lid with a channel brace so it serves as a platform.
Can I get a different size?

Installation
- 1/2" ratchet wrench
- Utility knife
Here's the short version. Follow ATB's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact positions and hardware.
- Check all parts against the parts list and make sure there is room in the frame for the box.
- Set the box in the frame to confirm it fits there. The box is predrilled.
- Remove the box, cut the rubber to the box depth and apply the 3" rubber strip; cut holes in the rubber for the bolts with a utility knife.
- Insert the four bolts from the box side with washers and fit a mounting clamp loosely on each bolt so the clamps can swing aside, then set the box back in the frame.
- Rotate the four clamps under the frame, tighten lightly, check the box is level and tight to the frame, then tighten all bolts securely.
- ATB warns: never drill the top or bottom flange of the frame, never weld brackets to the frame, and never mount through the top or back of the box.

Inspect on delivery
Check the box when the freight arrives, before the driver leaves: look over the lids, doors, corners and welds for dents, scratches or shipping damage. Note any damage on the delivery receipt and send us photos. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
