Description & Fitment
The ATB A-RB52 is an 84" tall aluminum rack box that mounts on the frame behind a semi-tractor cab. Three side-open doors on the bottom section and two top compartments split chains, binders, straps and personal gear. ATB includes two chain hangers and three adjustable shelves as standard, and every door locks with a stainless Dolphin Tail T-handle latch. Pick smooth aluminum or mirror stainless steel doors.
Fitment & Compatibility
How to choose: measure the frame space behind the cab, the clearance to the fifth wheel and the cab width. All A-RB52 boxes stand 84" tall; depths run 14", 16" or 22" and widths 76" to 84".
Door finish: smooth aluminum, or mirror-finish stainless steel doors on the smooth aluminum body.
Mounting kit not included: choose M3400I (U-bolt), M3410I (I-beam bolt-on) or M3400L (flush bolt-on).
ATB notes that its racks are not a safety device and will not prevent injury from cargo shifting forward in an accident or from improper securement.

Will it fit my semi-tractor?

Installation
- 1" ratchet wrench (U-bolt mount)

Here's the short version. Follow ATB's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact positions and hardware.
- Check all parts against the parts list for your kit (M3400I, M3410I or M3400L) and make sure there is room on the frame for the box.
- Set the rack box on the frame where it will mount, lay the rubber strips between box and frame, and square the box to the frame or cab.
- I-beam U-bolt mount (M3400I): run four U-bolts from the top of the box's I-beams to the bottom of the truck frame, two per beam, 3" in from each end, and fit the U-clamp brackets with washers and lock nuts.
- I-beam bolt-on mount (M3410I): fit the four mounting clamps to the box at the predrilled holes, two per beam, with bolts and washers, and tighten lightly.
- Bolt-on mounts: mark the frame holes (skip if the frame is predrilled), remove the box and drill the frame with a 9/16" bit, following the truck maker's frame drilling instructions.
- Set the box back in position and run the bolts with washers through the brackets and frame, with a flat washer under each lock nut.

Inspect on delivery
Check the box when the freight arrives, before the driver leaves: look over the lids, doors, corners and welds for dents, scratches or shipping damage. Note any damage on the delivery receipt and send us photos. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
