Description & Fitment
The ATB S-DU41 is a steel drawer utility box with a slanted, gas-spring top door over two bottom drawers, built for flatbeds and work trucks that need side access. ATB builds it from 14 gauge high strength steel, fully seam welded, with a zinc epoxy primer and textured black powder topcoat, and calls its drawer boxes super heavy duty. Each drawer is rated for 200 lb, and the door locks with ATB's stainless steel Dolphin Tail T-handle latch. Sizes run 21" or 28" tall in 48" and 60" widths.
Fitment & Compatibility
How to choose: measure the deck space you can give the box, side to side and front to back, and check clearance to the cab, rack and anything that swings open. The 21" tall box comes 14" or 16" deep; the 28" tall box is 20" deep with taller 9.75" drawers and a 16" door opening. Pick 48" or 60" wide; each box has two drawers side by side. Steel boxes weigh about twice the aluminum A-DU41, so check your deck rating. The M3200D-DU mounting kit is sold separately.

Which size do I need?
Measure the flat deck area where the box will sit. The 21" tall box is 14" or 16" deep and the 28" tall box is 20" deep, each in 48" or 60" widths; weights run from 172 lb to 305 lb, listed in the versions table.
Does the S-DU41 come with a mounting kit?
No. ATB lists its M3200D-DU series mounting kit separately for its drawer utility boxes; the box has no predrilled holes so you can place the bolts where your deck allows.
How much weight can a drawer hold?
ATB rates its drawers at 200 lb. They run on heavy duty slides and come with rubber matting and adjustable, removable dividers.
Will it keep water out?
ATB builds in a fully concealed rain gutter and an automotive-type weather seal around the door opening, and fully seam welds every seam and corner.
How do I take care of the black powder coat?
The finish is a baked powder topcoat over a zinc epoxy primer. If you drill mounting holes, ATB says to touch them up with paint to prevent rust.
Can I pair it with other ATB top mount boxes?
Yes. ATB says its DU series drawer boxes can be used in combination with its CGD and DM series top mount boxes.
Installation

Here's the short version. Follow ATB's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact positions and hardware.
- Check all parts against the parts list and look over the mounting area to make sure there is room for the box.
- Set the box on the flat surface where it will mount to confirm the fit. The box has no predrilled holes; drill as close to the outside edges of the box as possible.
- Remove the box, mark four holes on the outside bottom of the box and drill them with a 3/8" bit.
- Set the box back in position and mark the drilled hole pattern onto the mounting surface.
- Remove the box and drill four 3/8" holes at the marks, following the truck maker's shop manual for drilling.
- Insert the bolts with washers from the box side through the mounting surface, add a flat washer and lock nut underneath, and tighten all nuts securely.

Check the box when the freight arrives, before the driver leaves: look over the lids, doors, corners and welds for dents, scratches or shipping damage. - If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
