Fourteen thousand pounds of pull, 7.83" tall, and nothing on the drum. The ZEON XC 14 bare drum is the highest-capacity XC sold as a winch only, with no rope, no fairlead and no hook, for the heavy build where the line is specified rather than inherited. Warn gets the capacity from a 213:1 reduction through the same 3-stage planetary geartrain as the rest of the line, so the winch is no larger than the 10 or the 12: still 22.06" long and 7.83" tall, because the low-profile control pack sits below the top of the tie plate. That is what makes a genuine heavy-duty winch fit a hidden mount on a 3/4-ton or 1-ton truck. Everything else is full premium ZEON XC: Warn-exclusive low-profile Albright contactor control, an automatic six-segment cone brake, IP68 and IP69K sealing throughout, a 408-hour salt-spray finish, and a large-diameter aluminum-alloy drum with Warn's patented rope anchor for fitting your own line. Engineered, tested and assembled in Clackamas, Oregon.
What's Included:
Warn ZEON XC 14 winch, 14,000 lb rated line pull, bare drum
Ruggedized corded remote with 12' lead
Mounting hardware kit
Warn owner's manual and installation instructions
NOT included: rope, fairlead and hook are sold separately
Features
14,000 lb, Winch Only The highest-capacity ZEON XC, sold bare: no rope, no fairlead, no hook. It is the right buy when you already know what line the build needs, and it avoids paying for a rope you intended to swap. Budget for the line, a matching fairlead (hawse for synthetic, roller for steel) and an end fitting alongside it.
Capacity From Gearing, Not Bulk A 213:1 reduction through the 3-stage planetary geartrain gives 14,000 lb of first-layer pull in the same 22.06" x 7.83" body as the 10,000 lb version. No-load line speed is 23.4 ft/min and rated-load speed is 2.6 ft/min, drawing 70 amps free and 487 amps loaded.
Warn Publishes the Pull-by-Layer Numbers 14,000 lb on the first drum layer, then 11,544 lb, 9,821 lb, 8,545 lb and 7,563 lb across layers two to five. That curve should shape your rope-length decision: even the fifth layer here out-pulls a lot of winches at their advertised rating, but the drop is real and worth planning around.
The Patented Rope Anchor Makes Fitting Your Own Line Easy Warn's large-diameter aluminum-alloy drum uses a patented rope anchor the company calls the strongest on the market, designed for straightforward rope installation. On a bare-drum winch it is the feature you use on day one.
Mounting Flexibility Nothing Else Matches The remote socket relocates up to 9" from the control pack with no disassembly. The control pack can be moved off the winch entirely with Warn's relocation kits (PN 111872 for 31", PN 111991 for 78"). The motor rotates up to 90 degrees forward with the control pack following it, and the transmission clocks to five positions. XC fairleads work feet-down or feet-forward, so whichever one you buy, no separate offset version is needed.
Sealed to IP68 and IP69K O-ring rubber sealing runs through the complete winch, rated IP68 for submersion and IP69K for high-pressure spray, with corrosion-resistant black fasteners and a satin-black powder coat specified to 408 hours of salt spray.
Automatic Load-Holding Cone Brake A six-segment mechanical cone brake holds the load automatically. At 14,000 lb, being able to stop partway through a pull and re-rig without the load running away is a safety feature, not a convenience.

Fit guidance: This is a universal-fit winch, not a vehicle-specific kit, and it is a WINCH ONLY: no rope, no fairlead, no hook. It uses the industry-standard 10" x 4.5" 4-bolt pattern and measures 22.06" long, 7.83" tall and 6.73" deep front to back. Warn's sizing guidance is roughly 1.5 times your vehicle's loaded weight, which puts 14,000 lb over rigs around 9,000 lb. Two things to size carefully at this capacity: the line and fairlead you pair with it (synthetic wants a hawse, steel wants a roller), and the mount, whose hardware and frame attachment must be rated for a 14,000 lb pull. Both are sold separately.

Installation
Type: Bolt-in to a winch mount, plate or bumper with the standard 10" x 4.5" 4-bolt pattern; wiring direct to the battery; rope and fairlead fitted by you · Time: About 1.5 to 2.5 hours, including fitting your own rope · Tools: Metric socket set, torque wrench, battery terminal wrench; gloves for handling line; a second person to lift the winch into the mount · Difficulty: Intermediate, DIY-friendly with basic electrical experience, plus one extra step over a roped winch
Fit your line first: seat the rope in Warn's patented drum anchor per the instructions, then spool it on under light tension so the bottom wraps bed down evenly, which stops a loaded outer wrap burying itself into loose layers later. Choose a line rated well above 14,000 lb and fit the matching fairlead, hawse for synthetic and roller for steel. Then set the winch into the mount, torque the four bolts, route the 2 gauge battery leads clear of the exhaust and any moving steering or suspension parts, and position the remote socket, which relocates up to 9" without disassembly. Before the first recovery, confirm the mount and frame attachment are rated for a 14,000 lb pull, and cycle the winch in and out under no load.

About Warn
Warn Industries has been building vehicle recovery equipment since 1948, when the company's locking hub turned surplus military Jeeps into usable civilian vehicles. Winches followed, and for most of the last half-century a Warn winch has been the default answer on a truck bumper. Warn designs, tests and assembles its premium winches at its own ISO-quality facility in Clackamas, Oregon, and publishes real performance data, including line speed and motor current at every load point and pulling capacity at every drum layer, rather than a single headline number.
The ZEON XC is the compact member of that premium family, and at 14,000 lb it is offered two ways: with Spydura Pro synthetic rope, or as this bare drum. The mechanism is identical. It is built on the ZEON XD foundation but reshaped around an all-new low-profile control box that sits below the winch tie plate, with a bus bar connection to the motor and a Warn-exclusive low-profile Albright contactor. The remote socket relocates up to 9" from the control pack without disassembly, the control pack itself can be moved off the winch entirely with Warn's relocation kits, the motor rotates up to 90 degrees forward, and the transmission clocks to five positions. It carries a limited lifetime mechanical warranty and a seven-year electrical warranty through a global service network.
Prestige Truck is an authorized Warn dealer. Every winch we ship is new, factory-sealed, covered by the full Warn factory warranty, and supported by Warn's US-based service team and parts supply.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Does it come with rope?
No. This is a winch only: no rope, no fairlead, no hook. You get the winch, a ruggedized corded remote with a 12' lead, mounting hardware and the manuals. The ready-to-use alternative at this capacity is the ZEON XC 14-S, which ships with 80' of 3/8" Spydura Pro synthetic rope and an Epic hawse fairlead.
What line should I fit to a 14,000 lb winch?
Choose a rope rated comfortably above 14,000 lb and pair it with the right fairlead: a hawse for synthetic, a roller for steel. Warn ships 80' of 3/8" Spydura Pro on the roped XC 14-S, which is a sound reference point. Longer line adds reach but stacks more layers, and pulling power falls from 14,000 lb on the first layer to 7,563 lb on the fifth.
Is the mount as important as the winch here?
Arguably more so. This winch will apply 14,000 lb to whatever it is bolted to. Confirm your mount, its hardware and the frame mounting points are rated for that load, and that the mount's published maximum winch size accommodates a 22.06" x 7.83" body plus your chosen fairlead.
Is the mechanism the same as the roped XC 14-S?
Yes. Same 213:1 geartrain, same low-profile Albright control pack, same automatic six-segment cone brake, same IP68 and IP69K sealing, same envelope and bolt pattern. The difference is only what is on the drum and in the box.
Why choose a compact winch at this capacity?
Because the alternative is 10.52" tall. A full-height 14,000 lb winch will not fit a lot of hidden mounts, low-clearance bumpers or trucks where the crash bar and cooling stack leave no vertical room. The XC gets there at 7.83" by putting the control pack under the tie plate.
Does it support wireless control?
No. It ships with a ruggedized corded remote on a 12' lead. Warn's HUB wireless receiver is built into the ZEON XD and ZEON XP control packs rather than the XC's low-profile pack.

Look is great. 100 lbs
Look is great. 100 lbs lighter than my 2nd pick. Lid lock and opening are smooth. Only minor knock I give is the the tie down hooks are hard to install - thinking I should have done them before installing.

A must have
I really like this mat. I was apprehensive at first but, the mat does a great job of keeping things from sliding around without having to secure it. perfect fit. But i think i will be adding some short screws to secure the mat to the DECKED system.

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.

The toolbox is nice. I
The toolbox is nice. I think Ill get a lot of years of service out of it. I like how the lid opens and the tie downs are a nice touch. It seems to be well built. And tough. Im pleased with my purchase and would buy another one.
