Warn calls the ZEON XC 14-S the most compact premium 14,000 lb winch it has ever built, and the numbers back that up: full 3/4-ton and 1-ton recovery capacity in a body 22.06" long and just 7.83" tall. It gets there the same way the rest of the XC line does, by moving the entire control pack below the top of the tie plate instead of stacking it on the drum, and it gets its capacity from a 213:1 reduction through the same 3-stage planetary geartrain rather than from a physically larger housing. For a heavy truck whose owner wants the bumper to look stock, or a build where the crash bar leaves no vertical room, this is close to the only serious option. It ships with 80' of 3/8" Spydura Pro synthetic rope on a large-diameter aluminum-alloy drum, Warn's Epic black anodized forged aluminum hawse fairlead, and a ruggedized corded remote on a 12' lead, sealed to IP68 and IP69K throughout. Engineered, tested and assembled in Clackamas, Oregon.

Features
14,000 lb, and Only 7.83" Tall The most compact premium 14,000 lb winch Warn builds. Overall length is 22.06", height is 7.83" and maximum front-to-back depth is 6.73", because the control pack sits below the top of the tie plate. A conventional 14,000 lb winch stands 10.52" tall, which rules it out of the hidden and low-clearance mounts this one fits.
Capacity From Gearing, Not Bulk The 14-S runs a 213:1 reduction through the same 3-stage planetary geartrain as the rest of the XC line, so the extra 2,000 lb over the 12-S arrives with no change to the mounting envelope or the bolt pattern. No-load line speed is 23.4 ft/min and rated-load speed is 2.6 ft/min, drawing 70 amps free and 487 amps at full pull.
Warn Publishes the Pull-by-Layer Numbers Rated 14,000 lb on the first drum layer, then 11,544 lb on the second, 9,821 lb on the third, 8,545 lb on the fourth and 7,563 lb on the fifth. Even on the fifth layer this winch still pulls more than a rated 7,000 lb budget unit does on its first, which is the honest way to compare capacity.
Spydura Pro Rope With Heat-Resistant Wraps The 3/8" Spydura Pro line adds heat-resistant inner wraps under its abrasion sleeve, which is the detail that matters most at this capacity: a long 14,000 lb pull puts serious heat into the drum through the cone brake. The large-diameter aluminum-alloy drum with Warn's patented rope anchor helps dissipate it, and the Epic forged aluminum hawse fairlead keeps the entry angle gentle.
Mounting Flexibility Nothing Else Matches The remote socket relocates up to 9" from the control pack with no disassembly. The control pack can be moved off the winch entirely with Warn's relocation kits (PN 111872 for 31", PN 111991 for 78"). The motor rotates up to 90 degrees forward with the control pack following, and the transmission clocks to five positions. The XC fairleads work feet-down or feet-forward, so no separate offset fairlead is needed.
Sealed to IP68 and IP69K O-ring rubber sealing runs through the complete winch, rated IP68 for submersion and IP69K for high-pressure spray, with corrosion-resistant black fasteners and a satin-black powder coat specified to 408 hours of salt spray.
Automatic Load-Holding Cone Brake A six-segment mechanical cone brake holds the load automatically. On a 14,000 lb pull, being able to stop partway and re-rig without the load running away is not a convenience feature.

Fit guidance: This is a universal-fit winch, not a vehicle-specific kit. It uses the industry-standard 10" x 4.5" 4-bolt pattern and shares the XC envelope at 22.06" long, 7.83" tall and 6.73" deep front to back, so it drops into the same compact mounts as the XC 10-S and 12-S. Warn's sizing guidance is roughly 1.5 times your vehicle's loaded weight, which puts 14,000 lb over rigs around 9,000 lb. At this capacity, verify the mount, its hardware and the frame mounting points are rated for the load; a compact winch does not mean a lightly loaded mount. The mount is sold separately, and a fully concealed install may also need the optional control pack relocation kit.

Installation
Type: Bolt-in to a winch mount, plate or bumper with the standard 10" x 4.5" 4-bolt pattern; wiring direct to the battery · Time: About 1 to 2 hours · Tools: Metric socket set, torque wrench, battery terminal wrench; a second person to lift the winch into the mount · Difficulty: Intermediate, DIY-friendly with basic electrical experience
Set the winch into the mount and torque the four bolts to the figures in the Warn instructions, fit the Epic hawse fairlead, then route the 2 gauge battery leads clear of the exhaust and any moving steering or suspension parts. Because this winch can pull 14,000 lb from a compact mount, check that the mount and the frame attachment are rated for it before the first recovery. Position the remote socket, which relocates up to 9" with no disassembly, before you refit the bumper, and add the control pack relocation kit if the install is fully hidden. Cycle the winch in and out under no load.

About Warn
Warn Industries has been building vehicle recovery equipment since 1948, when the company's locking hub turned surplus military Jeeps into usable civilian vehicles. Winches followed, and for most of the last half-century a Warn winch has been the default answer on a truck bumper. Warn designs, tests and assembles its premium winches at its own ISO-quality facility in Clackamas, Oregon, and publishes real performance data, including line speed and motor current at every load point and pulling capacity at every drum layer, rather than a single headline number.
The ZEON XC is the compact member of that premium family, and the 14-S is its highest-capacity model. It is built on the ZEON XD foundation but reshaped around an all-new low-profile control box that sits below the winch tie plate, with a bus bar connection to the motor and a Warn-exclusive low-profile Albright contactor. The remote socket relocates up to 9" from the control pack without disassembly, the control pack can be moved off the winch entirely with Warn's relocation kits, the motor rotates up to 90 degrees forward, and the transmission clocks to five positions. It carries a limited lifetime mechanical warranty and a seven-year electrical warranty through a global service network.
Prestige Truck is an authorized Warn dealer. Every winch we ship is new, factory-sealed, covered by the full Warn factory warranty, and supported by Warn's US-based service team and parts supply.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Is a 14,000 lb winch really this small?
Yes, and that is the headline. It is 22.06" long, 7.83" tall and 6.73" deep front to back, versus 10.52" tall for a full-height ZEON XD 14-S. The capacity comes from a 213:1 gear reduction rather than a larger housing, so nothing was traded away except the height the control pack used to occupy.
What does it pull once there is rope on the drum?
14,000 lb on the first layer, then 11,544 lb, 9,821 lb, 8,545 lb and 7,563 lb across layers two to five. Even the outermost layer beats a lot of winches at their advertised rating. For a heavy pull, spool out more line so you are working nearer the drum, or use a snatch block.
Do I need this much winch?
If you drive a 3/4-ton or a 1-ton, or carry a camper, yes. Warn's guidance is roughly 1.5 times the vehicle's loaded weight, and a loaded heavy-duty pickup can be 9,000 lb before accessories. On a mid-size truck or a Jeep the XC 10-S or 12-S will pull what you need and spool faster doing it.
Is the mount as important as the winch at this capacity?
More important, arguably. The winch will happily apply 14,000 lb to whatever it is bolted to. Confirm that your mount, its hardware and the frame mounting points are rated for that load, and that the mount publishes a maximum winch size that this one fits inside.
How fast does it spool?
23.4 ft/min with no load, dropping to 2.6 ft/min at the full 14,000 lb rating. High-capacity winches trade speed for pull. Current draw runs 70 amps free-running and 487 amps at rated pull, so the 650 CCA battery minimum and a running engine during recoveries both matter.
Does it include wireless control?
No. The XC comes with a ruggedized corded remote on a 12' lead. Warn's HUB wireless receiver is built into the ZEON XD and ZEON XP control packs, not the XC's low-profile pack. If app control is a requirement, the ZEON XD 14-S is the alternative, at the cost of the extra height.

Look is great. 100 lbs
Look is great. 100 lbs lighter than my 2nd pick. Lid lock and opening are smooth. Only minor knock I give is the the tie down hooks are hard to install - thinking I should have done them before installing.

A must have
I really like this mat. I was apprehensive at first but, the mat does a great job of keeping things from sliding around without having to secure it. perfect fit. But i think i will be adding some short screws to secure the mat to the DECKED system.

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.

The toolbox is nice. I
The toolbox is nice. I think Ill get a lot of years of service out of it. I like how the lid opens and the tie downs are a nice touch. It seems to be well built. And tough. Im pleased with my purchase and would buy another one.
