Read this part first: the ZEON XC 10 bare drum is the winch only. No rope, no fairlead, no hook. Warn sells it this way for the builders who already know what line they want, whether that is a specific synthetic rope in a color and length of their own choosing, a competition-spec line, or steel because of where the truck works. What you get is the complete 10,000 lb low-profile ZEON XC mechanism with its ruggedized corded remote: the 3-stage planetary geartrain, the Warn-exclusive low-profile Albright contactor, the automatic six-segment cone brake, IP68 and IP69K sealing throughout, and the large-diameter aluminum-alloy drum with Warn's patented rope anchor, which is genuinely the easiest anchor on the market to fit your own line to. Because the control pack sits below the top of the tie plate, the whole unit is 22.06" long and 7.83" tall, which is what makes it work in hidden mounts and stubby bumpers. Engineered, tested and assembled in Clackamas, Oregon.

Features
Winch Only, So You Choose the Line No rope, no fairlead, no hook. That is deliberate. If you already run a particular synthetic line, need a specific length, or want steel because of where the truck works, buying bare avoids paying for a rope you were going to replace anyway. Budget for the line, the matching fairlead (hawse for synthetic, roller for steel) and a hook or soft shackle when you order.
The Patented Rope Anchor Makes Fitting Your Own Line Easy Warn's large-diameter aluminum-alloy drum uses a patented rope anchor that the company describes as the strongest on the market, and it was designed for straightforward rope installation. On a bare-drum purchase that matters more than on any other version, because fitting the line is the first job you will do.
10,000 lb, With Honest Pull-by-Layer Numbers Rated 10,000 lb on the first drum layer, then 8,246 lb, 7,015 lb, 6,104 lb and 5,402 lb across layers two to five. Worth knowing before you choose a rope length: a longer line means more layers on the drum and less capacity on the outer wraps.
7.83" Tall, Built to Hide Overall length 22.06", height 7.83", maximum front-to-back depth 6.73", because the control pack sits below the top of the tie plate rather than on the drum. That envelope is what puts a 10,000 lb winch into hidden mounts, stubby bumpers, high-clearance bumpers and vintage builds.
Mounting Flexibility Nothing Else Matches The remote socket relocates up to 9" from the control pack with no disassembly. The control pack can be moved off the winch entirely with Warn's relocation kits (PN 111872 for 31", PN 111991 for 78"). The motor rotates up to 90 degrees forward with the control pack following it, and the transmission clocks to five positions. XC fairleads work feet-down or feet-forward, so whichever fairlead you buy, no separate offset version is needed.
Sealed to IP68 and IP69K O-ring rubber sealing runs through the complete winch, rated IP68 for submersion and IP69K for high-pressure spray. Corrosion-resistant black fasteners and a satin-black powder coat are specified to 408 hours of salt spray.
Automatic Load-Holding Cone Brake A six-segment mechanical cone brake holds the load automatically, giving controlled, stoppable movement partway through a pull.

✗ No, choose the XC 10-S (synthetic) or XC 10 (steel) instead
Fit guidance: This is a universal-fit winch, not a vehicle-specific kit, and it is a WINCH ONLY: no rope, no fairlead, no hook. It uses the industry-standard 10" x 4.5" 4-bolt pattern and measures 22.06" long, 7.83" tall and 6.73" deep front to back. Warn's sizing guidance is roughly 1.5 times your vehicle's loaded weight, so 10,000 lb covers rigs up to about 6,600 lb. Order the line and fairlead together as a pair: synthetic rope wants a hawse fairlead, steel wire rope wants a roller. The mount is also sold separately.

Installation
Type: Bolt-in to a winch mount, plate or bumper with the standard 10" x 4.5" 4-bolt pattern; wiring direct to the battery; rope and fairlead fitted by you · Time: About 1.5 to 2.5 hours, including fitting your own rope · Tools: Metric socket set, torque wrench, battery terminal wrench; gloves for handling line; a second person to lift the winch into the mount · Difficulty: Intermediate, DIY-friendly with basic electrical experience, plus one extra step over a roped winch
There is an extra job here that the roped versions do not have: fitting your line. Seat the rope in Warn's patented drum anchor per the instructions, then spool it on under light tension so the bottom wraps bed down evenly, which is what stops a loaded outer wrap burying itself into loose layers later. Fit the fairlead that matches your line, hawse for synthetic and roller for steel. Then set the winch into the mount, torque the four bolts, route the 2 gauge battery leads clear of the exhaust and any moving steering or suspension parts, and position the remote socket, which relocates up to 9" without disassembly. Cycle the winch in and out under no load before the first recovery.

About Warn
Warn Industries has been building vehicle recovery equipment since 1948, when the company's locking hub turned surplus military Jeeps into usable civilian vehicles. Winches followed, and for most of the last half-century a Warn winch has been the default answer on a truck bumper. Warn designs, tests and assembles its premium winches at its own ISO-quality facility in Clackamas, Oregon, and publishes real performance data, including line speed and motor current at every load point and pulling capacity at every drum layer, rather than a single headline number.
The ZEON XC is the compact member of that premium family, and Warn offers each capacity three ways: with steel rope, with Spydura synthetic rope, or as a bare drum like this one. The mechanism is identical across all three. It is built on the ZEON XD foundation but reshaped around an all-new low-profile control box that sits below the winch tie plate, with a bus bar connection to the motor and a Warn-exclusive low-profile Albright contactor. The remote socket relocates up to 9" from the control pack without disassembly, the control pack itself can be moved off the winch entirely with Warn's relocation kits, the motor rotates up to 90 degrees forward, and the transmission clocks to five positions. It carries a limited lifetime mechanical warranty and a seven-year electrical warranty through a global service network.
Prestige Truck is an authorized Warn dealer. Every winch we ship is new, factory-sealed, covered by the full Warn factory warranty, and supported by Warn's US-based service team and parts supply.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Does this really come without rope?
Yes. It is a winch only: no rope, no fairlead, no hook. You get the winch, a ruggedized corded remote with a 12' lead, mounting hardware and the manuals. Warn sells it this way for builders who already know what line they want. If you want a ready-to-use kit, buy the ZEON XC 10-S with 100' of Spydura synthetic, or the ZEON XC 10 with 80' of steel.
What do I need to buy alongside it?
Three things: line, a matching fairlead and an end fitting. Synthetic rope pairs with a hawse fairlead, steel wire rope pairs with a roller fairlead, and you will want a hook or a soft shackle. A winch mount or winch-capable bumper is also separate, as it is for every winch.
How long a rope should I fit?
Warn ships 100' of 3/8" synthetic on the equivalent roped model, which is a sensible ceiling. Remember that pulling power falls as line stacks on the drum: this winch pulls 10,000 lb on the first layer but 5,402 lb on the fifth. More rope means more reach and less capacity when the drum is full, so match the length to how you actually recover.
Is the winch itself identical to the roped versions?
Yes. Same mechanism, same 141:1 geartrain, same low-profile Albright control pack, same IP68 and IP69K sealing, same 22.06" x 7.83" envelope. The only difference is what is on the drum and in the box.
Will it fit a hidden mount?
That is the XC's reason to exist: 7.83" tall with the control pack below the tie plate, against 10.52" for a full-height ZEON XD. Check the maximum winch dimensions your mount publishes, and remember to size the fairlead opening for whichever fairlead you buy. For a fully concealed install, Warn's control pack relocation kits (PN 111872 for 31", PN 111991 for 78") are worth adding.
Does it include wireless control?
No. It ships with a ruggedized corded remote on a 12' lead. Warn's HUB wireless receiver is built into the ZEON XD and ZEON XP control packs, not the XC's low-profile pack.

Look is great. 100 lbs
Look is great. 100 lbs lighter than my 2nd pick. Lid lock and opening are smooth. Only minor knock I give is the the tie down hooks are hard to install - thinking I should have done them before installing.

A must have
I really like this mat. I was apprehensive at first but, the mat does a great job of keeping things from sliding around without having to secure it. perfect fit. But i think i will be adding some short screws to secure the mat to the DECKED system.

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.

The toolbox is nice. I
The toolbox is nice. I think Ill get a lot of years of service out of it. I like how the lid opens and the tie downs are a nice touch. It seems to be well built. And tough. Im pleased with my purchase and would buy another one.
