If the winch has to disappear behind the bumper, the ZEON XC is the one Warn built for it. The XC 10-S delivers 10,000 lb of single-line pull in a package just 7.83" tall and 22.06" long, because the entire control pack sits below the top of the tie plate instead of riding on top of the drum like a conventional winch. That is what makes it work in hidden mounts, stubby bumpers, high-clearance bumpers and vintage applications where a full-height ZEON XD simply will not go. Nothing was traded away to get there: the same 3-stage planetary geartrain and Albright contactor control, the same IP68 submersion and IP69K high-pressure spray sealing, a 408-hour salt-spray finish, and a large-diameter aluminum-alloy drum with Warn's patented rope anchor. It ships with 100' of 3/8" Spydura synthetic rope, Warn's black anodized forged aluminum Epic hawse fairlead, and a ruggedized corded remote with a 12' lead. Engineered, tested and assembled in Clackamas, Oregon.

Features
7.83" Tall, Built to Hide The whole point of the XC. The control pack sits below the top of the tie plate rather than on top of the drum, so overall height is 7.83" and overall length is 22.06", with a maximum front-to-back depth of 6.73". That is what lets a 10,000 lb winch fit into hidden mounts, stubby bumpers, high-clearance bumpers and vintage builds where a full-height winch fouls the grille or the crash bar.
10,000 lb, With Honest Pull-by-Layer Numbers Rated at 10,000 lb on the first drum layer. Warn publishes the rest, which most brands do not: 8,246 lb on the second layer, 7,015 lb on the third, 6,104 lb on the fourth and 5,402 lb on the fifth. That matters in practice, because a short pull with most of the rope still on the drum has far less capacity than the number on the box.
Mounting Flexibility Nothing Else Matches The remote socket relocates up to 9" from the control pack with no disassembly, so the plug stays reachable behind a bumper. The control pack can be moved off the winch entirely using Warn's relocation kits (PN 111872 for 31", PN 111991 for 78"). The motor rotates up to 90 degrees forward with the control pack following it, and the transmission clocks to five positions. The XC fairleads also work in both feet-down and feet-forward installs, so no separate offset fairlead is needed.
100' of Spydura Synthetic Rope The 10-S is the only XC that ships with 100' of line rather than 80'. The 3/8" Spydura rope is light, handles easily with one hand, and does not store the energy a steel cable would if it parted. It runs over Warn's Epic black anodized forged aluminum hawse fairlead, and the large-diameter aluminum-alloy drum with its patented rope anchor reduces rope wear and helps dissipate brake heat.
Sealed to IP68 and IP69K O-ring rubber sealing runs through the complete winch, which is rated IP68 for submersion and IP69K for high-pressure spray. Corrosion-resistant black fasteners and a satin-black powder coat are specified to 408 hours of salt spray.
Low-Profile Albright Control The all-new low-profile control box carries a Warn-exclusive Albright contactor and bus bars feeding the motor directly. It is the electrical section that usually kills a winch after a few wet seasons, and it is the part Warn re-engineered to fit under the tie plate without downgrading it.
Automatic Load-Holding Cone Brake A six-segment mechanical cone brake holds the load automatically, which is what gives you controlled, stoppable movement partway through a pull rather than a winch that has to be babysat.

Fit guidance: This is a universal-fit winch, not a vehicle-specific kit. It uses the industry-standard 10" x 4.5" 4-bolt pattern and measures 22.06" long, 7.83" tall and 6.73" deep front to back, which is the compact envelope hidden mounts are designed around. Warn's sizing guidance is a winch rated at roughly 1.5 times your vehicle's loaded weight, so 10,000 lb covers rigs up to about 6,600 lb. Check your mount's published maximum winch dimensions before ordering, and remember that a fully hidden install may also need the optional control pack relocation kit. The mount is sold separately.

Installation
Type: Bolt-in to a winch mount, plate or bumper with the standard 10" x 4.5" 4-bolt pattern; wiring direct to the battery · Time: About 1 to 2 hours · Tools: Metric socket set, torque wrench, battery terminal wrench; a second person to lift the winch into the mount · Difficulty: Intermediate, DIY-friendly with basic electrical experience
Set the winch into the mount and torque the four bolts, fit the Epic hawse fairlead, then route the 2 gauge battery leads clear of the exhaust and any moving steering or suspension parts. Before you close the bumper up, decide where the remote socket lives: it relocates up to 9" from the control pack without taking anything apart, which is usually enough to keep it reachable. If the install is fully hidden and the control pack itself needs to move, order the relocation kit (PN 111872 for 31", PN 111991 for 78"). Cycle the winch in and out under no load before the first recovery.

About Warn
Warn Industries has been building vehicle recovery equipment since 1948, when the company's locking hub turned surplus military Jeeps into usable civilian vehicles. Winches followed, and for most of the last half-century a Warn winch has been the default answer on a truck bumper. Warn designs, tests and assembles its premium winches at its own ISO-quality facility in Clackamas, Oregon, and publishes real performance data, including line speed and motor current at every load point and pulling capacity at every drum layer, rather than a single headline number.
The ZEON XC is the compact member of that premium family. It is built on the ZEON XD foundation but reshaped around an all-new low-profile control box that sits below the winch tie plate, with a bus bar connection to the motor and a Warn-exclusive low-profile Albright contactor. The remote socket relocates up to 9" from the control pack without disassembly, the control pack itself can be moved off the winch entirely with Warn's relocation kits, the motor rotates up to 90 degrees forward, and the transmission clocks to five different positions. That flexibility is why the XC ends up in the installs nothing else fits. It carries a limited lifetime mechanical warranty and a seven-year electrical warranty through a global service network.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Will this fit a hidden winch mount?
That is exactly what it is for. The XC measures 22.06" long, 7.83" tall and 6.73" deep front to back because the control pack tucks below the tie plate instead of sitting on the drum. A full-height ZEON XD is 10.52" tall and will not go where this will. Always check the maximum winch dimensions published by your specific mount, and note that a fully concealed install may also want the optional control pack relocation kit.
Why does it list 100' of rope when the XC 12-S and 14-S get 80'?
Drum capacity is fixed at 3.15" x 9.0" across the line, and the higher-capacity models need the layer count kept lower to protect their rated pull, so they get 80'. At 10,000 lb the 10-S can carry 100' of 3/8" Spydura without giving away useful capacity, which is a genuine advantage if you often need reach.
What is the pull-by-layer figure, and why does it matter?
A winch is rated on the first, innermost layer of rope. As rope stacks on the drum the effective radius grows and pulling power falls. Warn publishes the whole curve for this model: 10,000 lb on layer one, then 8,246, 7,015, 6,104 and 5,402 lb. In practice, spool out more rope before a heavy pull so you are working on a lower layer, or use a snatch block.
Can I move the remote socket or the control pack?
Yes, and it is one of the reasons people choose the XC. The remote socket relocates up to 9" from the control pack with no disassembly. If that is not enough, Warn's control pack relocation kits move the pack off the winch entirely: PN 111872 gives 31" and PN 111991 gives 78". Both are sold separately.
Does it come with wireless control?
No. The XC ships with a ruggedized corded remote on a 12' lead. Wireless control via the Warn HUB app is a feature of the ZEON XD and ZEON XP lines, where the receiver is built into the control pack. If app control matters to you, look at the XD 10-S.
How is it protected against water and salt?
The complete winch, not just the motor, is sealed with O-ring rubber and rated IP68 for submersion and IP69K for high-pressure spray. The satin-black powder coat and the corrosion-resistant black fasteners are specified to 408 hours of salt spray, which is the figure that matters if the truck sees winter roads.

Look is great. 100 lbs
Look is great. 100 lbs lighter than my 2nd pick. Lid lock and opening are smooth. Only minor knock I give is the the tie down hooks are hard to install - thinking I should have done them before installing.

A must have
I really like this mat. I was apprehensive at first but, the mat does a great job of keeping things from sliding around without having to secure it. perfect fit. But i think i will be adding some short screws to secure the mat to the DECKED system.

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.

The toolbox is nice. I
The toolbox is nice. I think Ill get a lot of years of service out of it. I like how the lid opens and the tie downs are a nice touch. It seems to be well built. And tough. Im pleased with my purchase and would buy another one.
