- 2" Tube Wraparound Wings: The wings are made of 2" steel tube and wrap fully around the front corners, so the headlights and fender edges are covered as well as the grille.
- Full Punch-Plate Grille: A full punch-plate panel fills the center of the guard and sits in front of the factory grille, shielding it from brush, gravel and light impacts.
- Welded Headlight Guards: This is a 1-piece guard: the headlight guards are welded to the center section rather than bolted on, for one rigid structure across the front of the truck.
- Steel Tube Construction: Westin builds the HDX Winch Mount Grille Guard from steel with a black powder coat finish. The guard and its winch tray come as one part, so there is no separate winch mount to buy.
- Frame-Mounted Winch Tray: The winch tray brackets bolt directly to the vehicle frame, and Westin tests its trays to a minimum straight-line pull of 16,500 lbs. The tray is pre-drilled for winch mounting and uses a low-profile MAX winch tray faceplate where applicable.
- HDX Winch Capability: Westin calls its HDX Winch Mount Grille Guards the maximum in its grille guard design. The tray fits most medium-frame winches rated 8,000 to 12,000 lbs that are up to 10.25" tall.
