Good quality and plenty of room

So my better than I expected!

Easy to install, I have a F350 and I can fit 4x8’s under this which is critical for me and work. Easy to bolt down and it’s not going anywhere. The locking mechanism is easy to use and allows me to not worry about my tools on sites or parking lots. Worth every penny!

Highly recommend this extra wide tool box!

What a great tool box for my truck! Put it in a 2023 chevy 1500 to store all the stuff I need to carry gear for my guys onsite. Really really happy I got the extra wide box. It makes such a big difference. It's got some great weather seals that keep all my stuff dry. I even tried giving it a few deliberate sprays when washing the truck to test it and it stayed dry. The locks are great in that you can unlock one side (and leave the other locked) and open the tool box. They are also conveniently located so you don't have to get into the bed of the truck to open the box or lock/unlock it. When I need another box for new trucks I will definitely be getting another one of these. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I use this box for work. It has plenty of space for most all my tools. The tray has dividers that work great to keep my small tools separate.

Saved my truck from a Falling Tree! model 117-5-02

I had this toolbox on my truck, worth every penny i bought it for! always full of tools! I have went on a fishing trip, and parked at the gate fo the park to watin on it to open up, and a tree fell on it 8" in diameter, 25' long. totally destroyed the toolbox, but saved my truck from getting totaled. pretty amazed at the toughness of the toolbox. I will always have weathergaurd items when possible.

This is the 2nd Weather Guard truck box that we have purchased. The first we bought on a used truck in 2005. It is still fully functional and has been moved from truck to truck. The new one is for our new truck, and looks great!

Best box available!!!

I’ve been using this comercially for years. It never leaks. This extra wide and extra deep model has great capacity. Thicker walls than the less expensive defender series. I raised mine with aluminum spacers to fit more long material in my truck bed beneath the box. Love the automotive style locks and latches

This is the big tool box it will hold everything and more I almost wish I would have gotten the regular size, as with any weather guard box it is built to last very happy overall, and I got 0% to boot

Got the tool box on sale as a black friday deal and it is one of the best tool boxes ive ever had. The quality is top notch and everything works flawlessly. Theres all kinds of room and it comes with a nice red tool tray thats mounts inside(not pictured) along with a clear plastic organizer box for smaller items. Id give it a 10/10

Disappointed

117-52-02 on a 2017 F-350. Been using Weatherguard products for decades and very disappointed in this box. As other reviews have said you have to get into the bed and push this lid from the center to get this box to positively latch on both sides. Even with a 3rd step on my truck and stretching acoss the box and slamming it will not close the opposite latch.

Secure & dry w/ lots of space

This was purchaced to haul 2 acoustic guitars and a small amp. There was extra room for other items.It worked perfectly during very heavy rains. This was a great purchase and looks great on my F-150, too.

Very secure, easy to install

Bought to replace a cheap toolbox that had been broken into and also leaked from day one. Very happy I bought this toolbox. Seems to be very secure and it has just went through 5 days of rain and not a drop of water in box.

Sturdy, well built and secure

This is my second one. Only reason I had to replace the first on is because I hit it with a gooseneck trailer. And it still works, just a little bit aggravating to close. Even that impact didn’t kill it.

Best Tool Box I have owned

I love this tool box. Definately comercial grade. The best part is... you can key the locks yourself. I noticed that the key looks just like a ford key. I keyed the lock to match my ford pick up key. Perfect! no more searching for the tool box key.

This is a great box

This box has lots of room for tools and i don't have to put some in the cab like the last one. The lid latches on both sides no matter which side of the truck you're on. The only issue I had is the keys that came with it one was bent in a z shape and i mentioned it during registration and haven't gotten any reply from the company.

This is my 4th box of this model from weather guard and the quality has gone down. The locks are cheaper and the inner tray is alot cheaper, was very disappointed they cut corners on these 2 items other than that the box is still nice.

Nice box . Small issue with the latch, easy fix.

Nice well made toolbox. When I programmed the keys, the latch would not unlock. Figured out the latch pushrods needed to be shortened about 1/8” . After that, everything was good. No complaints.

Tool box is well built, heavy duty. I have owned numerous weatherguard boxes before and they all work well for the demanding professional or serious truck lover. 4 stars due to the fact that it takes some love to make it latch. havent had time to tinker with it but assume the gaskets are tight and latches need to be adjusted to make it work correctly..Well Worth The Money overall!

The best toolbox for the money

This is by far the best toolbox that I’ve owned. It’s light weight but really well built and has exellent locking latches. The push button feature is also very nice. I’ve had mine on my truck for over a year now and the powder coat finish still looking brand new. Overall it’s money well spent.
