This is by far the best toolbox that I’ve owned. It’s light weight but really well built and has exellent locking latches. The push button feature is also very nice. I’ve had mine on my truck for over a year now and the powder coat finish still looking brand new. Overall it’s money well spent.

Heavy duty

I bought this extra white heavy duty toolbox one month ago it has been a great asset to my lawn care company the only thing that sucks is the hold down bolts and cleats, the provided Bolt will not tread properly into the cleat, I got in contact with the weatherguard and they had no problem sending me a new Which were also defective as well. So if you buy this box make sure you buy the hold down cleats from someone else. I would definitely buy this box again.

Disappointed

117-52-02 on a 2017 F-350. Been using Weatherguard products for decades and very disappointed in this box. As other reviews have said you have to get into the bed and push this lid from the center to get this box to positively latch on both sides. Even with a 3rd step on my truck and stretching acoss the box and slamming it will not close the opposite latch.

Indestructible toolbox

I bought this toolbox going on four years ago. About three years ago I had a major rollover accident that resulted in a few broken vertebrae. In the accident this toolbox got thrown from the truck at substantial speeds and some how miraculously managed to remain closed and locked with my few thousand dollars of tools inside and only received one large dent in a crease on the lid and a couple broken spot welds on the inside of the lid. I still use that same toolbox to this day. I am a carpenter so it gets daily abuse and still functions properly. From that day I became a die-hard Weather Guard fan and refuse to purchase any other toolbox.

Great toolbox! Easy to install and has lots of room inside, while still leaving space underneath for sheet goods and such. I bought this model because I wanted a heavier duty and more secure box and I am pleased with my purchase.

Looks Great! Tons of Space!

I have a short bed Ram 1500 and can't fit a deep box, but wanted more secure storage space. This Weatherguard Extra-Wide is amazing! The locks are fantastic and is probably one of the best features of the box. My truck is brand new and I run it through the car wash regularly. So far I haven't found any water / moisture inside the box. My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that I couldn't mount the box with the hardware provided. My bed was too narrow by about an inch. The precut holes in the box were fine, but I had to go purchase some basic J Hook bolts to get it to fit.

Best Bang for the Buck!!

This is my second Weatherguard box. Biggest mistake I ever made was leaving my first on the vehicle I sold. These boxes are well made and will provide years of service with proper care and maintenance. The locking system on these boxes is great and the latches will keep the lid in place, unlike a cheaper box I purchased in lieu of this one. That box has been relegated to shop duty due to the lid constantly coming unlatched. That is something you will not have to worry about with the Weatherguard. The box is pricey, but you get what you pay for and in the end you will only have to purchase one of these!!! Unless of course you have two trucks needing toolboxes, and believe me once you've used this box the desire to purchase a cheaper or alternate brand will completely vanish. FIVE STARS for this Tool Box!!

Extra space!

I have always wanted a bigger tool box so I could open smaller tool box drawers, without taking them out every time. This toolbox is great. It leaves allot of room under the box in the truck bed as well. You can fit 10 or more sheets of plywood under it and still close tail gate.

Mounted perfect with the brackets they sent. Brackets are a great design. I bout this box for my new long bed Silverado to put our luggage in. Keeps luggage dry and clean. This is the beast of all saddle boxes. I LOVE IT!!!

This box has a lot of space but the great features of the outside D rings give u that extra help to tide those loads with out having to reach for the one on the side of the bed that end up underneath the box, The tray inside provides a secure lip that keeps the tray from slidding side to side inside the box. This box is big, bigger than I thought but I am very happy with it. I have tons of room for tools. Installation was simple and took maybe 15 minuets. This box is expensive but worth every penny. From a contractors POV this is the best money can buy!

I had this toolbox on my truck, worth every penny i bought it for! always full of tools! I have went on a fishing trip, and parked at the gate fo the park to watin on it to open up, and a tree fell on it 8" in diameter, 25' long. totally destroyed the toolbox, but saved my truck from getting totaled. pretty amazed at the toughness of the toolbox. I will always have weathergaurd items when possible.

I’ve been using this comercially for years. It never leaks. This extra wide and extra deep model has great capacity. Thicker walls than the less expensive defender series. I raised mine with aluminum spacers to fit more long material in my truck bed beneath the box. Love the automotive style locks and latches

Got the tool box on sale as a black friday deal and it is one of the best tool boxes ive ever had. The quality is top notch and everything works flawlessly. Theres all kinds of room and it comes with a nice red tool tray thats mounts inside(not pictured) along with a clear plastic organizer box for smaller items. Id give it a 10/10

Nice box cheap locks and tray.

This is my 4th box of this model from weather guard and the quality has gone down. The locks are cheaper and the inner tray is alot cheaper, was very disappointed they cut corners on these 2 items other than that the box is still nice.

Nice box . Small issue with the latch, easy fix.

Nice well made toolbox. When I programmed the keys, the latch would not unlock. Figured out the latch pushrods needed to be shortened about 1/8” . After that, everything was good. No complaints.

Tool box is well built, heavy duty. I have owned numerous weatherguard boxes before and they all work well for the demanding professional or serious truck lover. 4 stars due to the fact that it takes some love to make it latch. havent had time to tinker with it but assume the gaskets are tight and latches need to be adjusted to make it work correctly..Well Worth The Money overall!
