Worth the money

This is a very good box. I would not hesitate to buy it again. It fits like a glove on my 2019 F150 and it comes with every to attach it to the truck. Very well made box!!

This toolbox is extremely well built and sturdy, one finger push button release. When locked the button is flush to side of toolbox, sleek look. Very roomy inside, lots of storage space, can fit a milk crate inside for extra organization. Nice clear coating on outside, should hold up for longer then my pickup truck.

Fantastic quality I'm very happy with this purchase. The only problem I've found as I read others did too was that the labels are already coming off. This also fits above the wheelwell on a shorted truck which is just what I needed!

New Tool Box

Love the new matte black and textured paint. Overall, good box, but not built like they use to be. You can see where Weather Guard has tried to save money compared to their older boxes. I really like the tackle box added feature. An issue I’m having is the front part box lid sits about a half inch higher than the rear of the lid and the latches are not adjustable. The slidable try started flaking paint before I even installed it into the box. It’s a good box, but not worth the money.

This box exceeded my expectations! I knew I was getting a top of the line product, but I didn’t expect all the features that this has. This Weather Guard box is extremely well built and looks great. It is easily lockable and opens quickly with just the push of a button, which is conveniently located on either side. It comes with an accessory tray which is helpful beyond words to keep your smaller tools and items easily accessible. I also love the built in D rings to use as light duty tie downs. It keeps all of my daily tools and items dry and secure. I highly recommend it!

Fits and works perfectly. The new locking system is a little different because you can key more than one box to the same key without a locksmith. I have a gray f350 and the gray gunmetal paint looks great on my gray truck. The new style lid has tapered ends and not just square gives it a unique style. So far all is well very satisfied

Great Heavy Duty Tool Box

I’ve had several of the cheaper toolboxes. This is a Great tool box. Heavy duty design. Come with a steel tray. Install was a breeze. Worth the extra money in my opinion.

Super tough!

I needed a good tool box for my work truck and this baby does the trick! It's super tough and has a great style to it! Fits perfectly and was easy to install. It's has a great amount of storage to keep all of my tools in and I don't have to worry about someone trying to steal them!

New toolboxes locks are trash

I bought this tool box A month ago and I hate the new lock system they have. It isn't like the old ones where the lock pushes in and is flush. Either someone tried to get in and broke off one side of it fell off

Great product

Iam so amazed with this tool box. It is so slim and nice looking, compared to the older model tool boxes. But yet holds just as much stuff. And is as strong if not stronger made then the older ones. This product will last a very, very long time. It has a weather guard on it. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a great quality product.

Probably the best box I have ever purchased

This is the best box I have ever purchased. I have used other cheaper brands in the past and as the saying goes, you definitely get what you pay for. Overall, the build quality is excellent. The welds are clean and most of all this box is as rugged as they come. I love how you can lock in the release buttons when you engage the lock. Also, the box is so sturdy that I can stand on the top of it without having to worry about denting it in. Great job again Weatherguard and you have a customer for life!

bad quality

I just purchased this box. The opening side of the lid doesnt go down far enough( approximately 1/2 to 3/4 in). How can i adjust this? I tried to work wit them but No support. Should have never left factory this way. Will be returning

Built like a rock

Did a lot of research to pick the right box and this was it. Solidly built and looks great too. One of the Northern employees even helped me check out the box to make sure it was not damaged in shipping. Very professional.

Great Product So Far

Happy with the product, look and most of the functionality. I wanted the light bar but it was a little pricey for what it is and does. I put a small flashlight in storage tray. If the price ever comes down, I might pull the trigger for the light bar. Just not now. The only problem so far is the metal tray. It slides and then slams depending on the direction your turning. Very annoying. I think I might be able to glue some rubber tabs to the bottom of the tray and see if that keeps the tray from sliding and slamming.

Everything I wanted

This is the first time I have purchased a truck tool box and this one was everything that I wanted and more. Easy to install. Very well built. Has all the room that I needed and at a reasonable price. Very satisfied.

The only box I'll ever own

I've owned Weather Guard Tool Boxes for years now. Evidently there are now different gauges (or I just never knew this) and since I need these for a work truck and they not only hold tools but get stood on, the thicker gauge is what I needed. So the boxes I bought 20 years ago are still holding up great and these new boxes are going on the new truck. You can't go wrong with Weather Guard.

Bite the bullet and buy it.

Heck of a toolbox. Comes with all the mounting hardware. Definitely heavier duty. Great locking system. Protective pockets for the hydraulic tubes. Etc. Money well spent!

Great features!

I love the metal tray bin inside and the Level holders. The plastic nut and bolt storage box and separate built in storage area is the bomb! I will have to use for a while out in the weather to determine is the Patented metal coating works as advertised.

Not same quality as previous models

Quality is not the same as previous model. Toll tray has no dividers and doesn't have level holding brackets, plastic organizing box mounted box. locking mechanism not as well made and the key is huge. Not the same box as in the past.

Well built box

I have had this tool box about 2 weeks now and wow I can tell the difference between this vs my old one. Plenty of storage. The only problem I don’t like is that the slots for the mounting hardware should have been a little longer.

Tuff box

Heavy duty, Solid and Tuff. While this is the aluminum box, I thought it would be weak like so many competitors however I was very impressed with the thickness of the box and lid. I've had other brands and they bend or get dented too easy. I've only had the box 1 week but I understand the paint is coated to withstand for years so I am expecting this box to look great for a long while especially since I keep my trucks for 10+ years. I like the extras they provide, slide and compartment trays. I like the inset locks and are theft deterrent also the extra tie down loops on the front. This box was a bit more expensive than I wanted to spend, but now I see why, QUALITY! The box to truck fasteners they provide are tough to put in (wear gloves and/or use pliers to hold) or you might lose a finger when it spins lose. I am used to taking my truck box in and out depending on the load, I won't be…

Perfect Truck Box

I purchased this truck box for my husband for Christmas. It fits his truck perfectly and has a bunch of storage space. My husband was basically using his whole backseat of his truck as his toolbox. This truck box made it much easier to organize his tools and keep them safely locked away.

This is the best box built but after I sat it on my 2014 F-150 extended cab I decided it was too tall so I returned it and bought the low profile. Much better at seeing the tail gate when you're backiing up with this one.

Great tool box, well built. It fit my 2003 tundra with 6' bed. Had to space tool box forward about 1/4" or lid would hit cab of truck. Bottom of tool box is touching wheel wells. Could not use mounting bolts and brackets it came with because box fit to tight so I had to drill into bed rails and use boltit down that way. It was tight fit but very glad it fit.

Hands down best tool box

I'm in the construction industry and travel all over the USA. Large cities with high crime don't get into these boxes easy. Trays lock in place which is great and there is a holder for a level. I ordered a second tray and love having everything orginized and ready to grab on the sides. Installed in Dodge Ram 2500 and F-150. And it's strong enough to hold a person standing on it without bending

Sturdy toolbox with smart innovations

I searched a lot and found this one, has all that I need. I've had it just over a month, added 2 extra mounts for piece of mind. I installed it in my 2019 GMC AT4, works and looks great! Use for tools, tie down dirtbike and 4 wheeler to it. Even added a protective liner inside to prevent stuff from wearing a hole from inside to outside, if you've had a toolbox for a while, you know what I'm talking about?

Item was extremely easy to install and has a lot of simple extra features that other tool boxes don't have. Item seems extremely heavy duty and durable...the lid closes like a heavy trunk of an old car...incredible. My old toolbox was lightweight and cheaply made...not Weatherguard.

Great box, so-so lock function

Very well build toolbox, but locks are not awesome. I can't say enough about how well built the structure is, it's like a tank and I expect it will last me for quite a long time. There isn't anything to complain about as far as the box function goes. My only issue is the locks. When you get it the keys are there but the actual locks aren't set and you do this by turning the new key 3/4 of a turn which sets the pattern, which is nice since you can key any new boxes to the keys you currently have. My only issue is the locks are very sloppy and you can feel it grating inside when you turn the key. My passenger side lock is decent but the driver side lock is very catchy and I have concerns that it'll last very long (or cause the key to eventually break).

Inspect the product before leaving for any hidden damage Box is great just had some shipping damage to the lid it was easily removed using a dead blow hammer

For once, the engineers listened to the user. This is a well designed truck toolbox. Easy to mount with the included hardware. Looks awesome-started getting questions and compliments the first day it was mounted! Sturdy integrated tie down points that are reinforced. Smooth operating hardware. A good stiff lid thats easy to latch from the side. And there are some great add ons that take it up another level-remote lid popper and automatic LED lights can easily be added. And all of the hardware comes powder coated red to match the box.

Well built truck toolbox that will last for many different trucks

Bought this tool box about a month ago and love it. Decided to spend the extra money on a weatherguard box and I am very happy I did. I went through many other brand of truck toolboxes. This box was built to last. I have it full of tools, straps, chains, hitches, etc. Well built box and looks great.
