It is a full-size standard crossover, or saddle, box that mounts across the top bed rails behind the cab, so it fits full-size pickups such as the F-150, Silverado and Sierra 1500 through 3500, Ram 1500 through 3500, Tundra and Titan. It needs about 72" of rail-to-rail width. Measure your bed rails and check clearance behind the cab first, and note it is not designed for compact or mid-size trucks.
No. The box ships with under-rail clamps and hardware, so it mounts without drilling into your truck. Most installs take about 20 to 30 minutes and go easiest with two people to lift and hold the box while you clamp it down.
It uses the Weather Guard 1Key UltraLock system with tamper-resistant push-button locks that sit recessed when locked, so you get a quick visual cue your gear is secured. The 1Key design also lets you code multiple boxes on a truck or a whole fleet to a single key.
Yes. The gunmetal gray ARMOR TUF powder coat resists corrosion, fading and road salt, and the full-perimeter D-shaped weather seal keeps water and dust off your gear. The mid-tone graphite color also hides dust and light grime between washes.
Gunmetal gray is a dark graphite tone, deeper than silver but lighter than black, with a subtle metallic look under sunlight. It is a distinctive, modern finish that pairs well with both light and dark trucks and hides dust between washes.
It is built from 15-gauge aluminum in a five-piece welded body with a gunmetal gray ARMOR TUF powder coat. The exterior measures 72"L x 20"W x 18"H with 11.0ft³ of storage, and it ships at about 80 lb, so it is strong yet lighter than a comparable steel box.

Love the new matte black and textured paint. Overall, good box, but not built like they use to be. You can see where Weather Guard has tried to save money compared to their older boxes. I really like the tackle box added feature. An issue I’m having is the front part box lid sits about a half inch higher than the rear of the lid and the latches are not adjustable. The slidable try started flaking paint before I even installed it into the box. It’s a good box, but not worth the money.

I love my weather guard tool box it’s well built and I put the lights inside of it so it doesn’t matter what time of day it is I can see and get what I need. my favorite thing about this box is it’s so big I can fit my straps my tools and a floor jack all in this one tool box and it actually supports the weight i can literally stand in the lid and it will not damage or bend anything this is the best tool box iv ever owned

This is my first truck tool box and it has been great. Easy install, good capacity, great locks and you can open from either side of the truck. This model sits up off of the truck bed so lumber etc. can slide underneath with no problem. I would highly recommend.

I just purchased this box. The opening side of the lid doesnt go down far enough( approximately 1/2 to 3/4 in). How can i adjust this? I tried to work wit them but No support. Should have never left factory this way. Will be returning

Bought this tool box to mount into a 2021 Chevrolet 3500 HD Standard Box. Fit was perfect and install was a breeze with the included hardware. The locking system is very easy to use, and the lid closes without having to slam it shut.

I have a Chevy 2500Hd Crew Cab pick-up that I bought used. It had another brand relatively new tool box on it that did not fair well from use, so I replaced it with this Weatherguard. What a difference between the two! The weatherguard is light years ahead in strength and quality and made in the USA. The materials, construction and finish are first rate. The locking system is strong as heck, like your car door and looks nearly impossible to be forced open. I was very impressed with the large bearing area of the mounting brackets (included ) and quality bolts. The system securely fastens the box to your truck bed so you won't have to worry about a heavily loaded box walking around while driving. They recommend using a little lubricant on the mounting bolts to ease installation because the brackets have locknuts in them. I definitely agree you should follow that tip to save some busted…

Quality is not the same as previous model. Toll tray has no dividers and doesn't have level holding brackets, plastic organizing box mounted box. locking mechanism not as well made and the key is huge. Not the same box as in the past.

This box was made to last! The box is light weight and extremely easy to install. There's ample room for my tools and my first-aid supplies. I'm impressed with the amount of room and the sturdiness of it all!

Good tool box. I have a bit larger one I bought years ago from same store, same brand that was a little more money but alot heavier Guage metal and just tougher. Would if liked to have that one again.

The only complaint I have with the saddle box itself is that not all the shelf dividers for the red shelf were not all there. I was missing 2 out of the 4 dividers. Really no issue with shipping. Overall I would buy again even with the missing dividers.
Bought this tool box about a month ago and love it. Decided to spend the extra money on a weatherguard box and I am very happy I did. I went through many other brand of truck toolboxes. This box was built to last. I have it full of tools, straps, chains, hitches, etc. Well built box and looks great.
This is a great tool box. But if you have a GMC or Chevy with bed view camera the box will block the view.

Iv had a lot of tool boxes, but this one is the best! This tool box is great! There’s so much room inside the box, which allows me to fit all my tools inside. Others may say the tool box is a bit pricey. But the tool box is worth every dollar! This tool box is way above its class!
Toolbox is great quality and just from looking at it you can tell it’s tough. It is on the more expensive side for toolboxes but it is totally worth the money.
This a great box. Very well built and worth the money. I would have to buy 2 or 3 less quality boxes over the lifetime of this single well built Box. I other boxes seem like the quality of a mailbox. I will likely go through 2 or 3 vehicles before I have to replace this product. As I can tell, I highly recommend the product.
For once, the engineers listened to the user. This is a well designed truck toolbox. Easy to mount with the included hardware. Looks awesome-started getting questions and compliments the first day it was mounted! Sturdy integrated tie down points that are reinforced. Smooth operating hardware. A good stiff lid thats easy to latch from the side. And there are some great add ons that take it up another level-remote lid popper and automatic LED lights can easily be added. And all of the hardware comes powder coated red to match the box.

Very well build toolbox, but locks are not awesome. I can't say enough about how well built the structure is, it's like a tank and I expect it will last me for quite a long time. There isn't anything to complain about as far as the box function goes. My only issue is the locks. When you get it the keys are there but the actual locks aren't set and you do this by turning the new key 3/4 of a turn which sets the pattern, which is nice since you can key any new boxes to the keys you currently have. My only issue is the locks are very sloppy and you can feel it grating inside when you turn the key. My passenger side lock is decent but the driver side lock is very catchy and I have concerns that it'll last very long (or cause the key to eventually break).
Well built although the box did not include the small parts organizer and level hooks previously included with this item. New locks require a much longer key than older models which is bulky on key rings
Inspect the product before leaving for any hidden damage Box is great just had some shipping damage to the lid it was easily removed using a dead blow hammer

Awesome construction and quality. Only issue I am having is the latches for the lid won’t catch and lock. It takes several attempts to get the lid to close and stay closed
Only issue is difficulty closing. May be operator error. I do wish I could have gotten this unit wit gull wing lids.

I was really looking for a high quality low profile, extra deep toolbox for my 2018 GMC 3500 but wasn't able to find one that met my criteria and quality expectations. While not low profile, this toolbox is definitely high quality and I appreciate the ease with which you can lock and unlock. I'd buy it again even though it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.
