Well built truck toolbox that will last for many different trucks

Bought this tool box about a month ago and love it. Decided to spend the extra money on a weatherguard box and I am very happy I did. I went through many other brand of truck toolboxes. This box was built to last. I have it full of tools, straps, chains, hitches, etc. Well built box and looks great.

Excellent box.

This is a great tool box. But if you have a GMC or Chevy with bed view camera the box will block the view.

Iv had a lot of tool boxes, but this one is the best! This tool box is great! There’s so much room inside the box, which allows me to fit all my tools inside. Others may say the tool box is a bit pricey. But the tool box is worth every dollar! This tool box is way above its class!

Very well designed

For once, the engineers listened to the user. This is a well designed truck toolbox. Easy to mount with the included hardware. Looks awesome-started getting questions and compliments the first day it was mounted! Sturdy integrated tie down points that are reinforced. Smooth operating hardware. A good stiff lid thats easy to latch from the side. And there are some great add ons that take it up another level-remote lid popper and automatic LED lights can easily be added. And all of the hardware comes powder coated red to match the box.

This a great box. Very well built and worth the money. I would have to buy 2 or 3 less quality boxes over the lifetime of this single well built Box. I other boxes seem like the quality of a mailbox. I will likely go through 2 or 3 vehicles before I have to replace this product. As I can tell, I highly recommend the product.

New Tool Box

Love the new matte black and textured paint. Overall, good box, but not built like they use to be. You can see where Weather Guard has tried to save money compared to their older boxes. I really like the tackle box added feature. An issue I’m having is the front part box lid sits about a half inch higher than the rear of the lid and the latches are not adjustable. The slidable try started flaking paint before I even installed it into the box. It’s a good box, but not worth the money.

Well built and lots of room

I have been needing a tool box for my truck for years and I’m glad I got this one. The back seat of my truck was full of socket sets and power tools and now I can actually put some passengers back there. The box itself is well sealed and so far all of my stuff remains dry in spite of all the rain we have been getting. I really like the push button locks on either side. The accessory tray is nice, and I like that it has a little hook on either side of the box to keep the tray in place on whichever side you choose. The box is very large inside and I haven’t been able to fill it up yet although I have several tool sets, hard hat, a bunch of power tools, jumper cables, four way lug wrench, a portable air compressor and who knows what else. I love this tool box for its practicality and it just makes the truck look better also. Awesome well made box.

New toolboxes locks are trash

I bought this tool box A month ago and I hate the new lock system they have. It isn't like the old ones where the lock pushes in and is flush. Either someone tried to get in and broke off one side of it fell off

Heavy Duty

I've had four or five different tool boxes from various manufactures. All of them leaked, this is the one that has not. Built like a heavy duty truck, it has been great to use. When I lock it up, I feel confident it will keep all my tools safe. Only problem I've had is the "weatherguard" logos have become discolored.

bad quality

I just purchased this box. The opening side of the lid doesnt go down far enough( approximately 1/2 to 3/4 in). How can i adjust this? I tried to work wit them but No support. Should have never left factory this way. Will be returning

You can't buy a better box

I bought this box a month ago to replace my old weather guard box that I had in 4 different pickups over the last 24 years. It still works great and has never leaked. The only reason I replaced it is I wanted the full opening lid. The old one only ever opened to about a 45 degree angle. This box looks and feels like it is made to the same standards as my old box so I should be happy with this box for maybe another 24 years. Just to note the only thing I had to do to the old box was put new struts on after about 10+ years. As many times as I opened and closed it I felt like that was excellent longevity.

Not same quality as previous models

Quality is not the same as previous model. Toll tray has no dividers and doesn't have level holding brackets, plastic organizing box mounted box. locking mechanism not as well made and the key is huge. Not the same box as in the past.

Came with everything needed for quick install. Looks great. It is tall and blocks some of my view but plenty of space in there for all my things. Keeps water out. Locks smooth.

Worth the $

Pros: The toolbox is very easy to install, it fits my 2006 Ford F350 very nice and looks really sharp. I got it in black, and it looks awesome. I got it in aluminum because it weighs less than steel, and I didn't need something too heavy duty. That said, this is still a very rugged box and I there is no question in my mind this box will stand the test of time. It comes with nice push button locks and some organizer bins, and the lid opens with lift support struts that hold the lid open firmly with no worry of it falling. This nice box will certainly guard the weather from intruding and destroying the contents. Cons: None

Best of the best

Weatherguard is the best of the best, the only toolbox I'll ever buy. Since my last one they have cheaped out a little. The locks are nice that you can have the same key open multiple toolboxes, but I don't like that the button doesn't stay in when locked. At a glance, you can't tell if it's locked or not, so you have to go and try to open it to confirm if it's locked or not. It doesn't come with the level holders anymore, and the sliding tray is cheap and doesn't come with dividers anymore. They're charging more but you're getting less. I hope it holds up as well as my previous two.

Very well build toolbox, but locks are not awesome. I can't say enough about how well built the structure is, it's like a tank and I expect it will last me for quite a long time. There isn't anything to complain about as far as the box function goes. My only issue is the locks. When you get it the keys are there but the actual locks aren't set and you do this by turning the new key 3/4 of a turn which sets the pattern, which is nice since you can key any new boxes to the keys you currently have. My only issue is the locks are very sloppy and you can feel it grating inside when you turn the key. My passenger side lock is decent but the driver side lock is very catchy and I have concerns that it'll last very long (or cause the key to eventually break).

Good tool box. I have a bit larger one I bought years ago from same store, same brand that was a little more money but alot heavier Guage metal and just tougher. Would if liked to have that one again.

Inspect the product before leaving for any hidden damage Box is great just had some shipping damage to the lid it was easily removed using a dead blow hammer
