Every cover on this page fits the Ford F-150 or F-150 Raptor. Pick your year and bed in the selector (Ford's 5.5, 6.5 and 8 ft beds are listed as 5'7", 6'7" and 8' or 8'2") to see the exact part for your truck.
Ford builds the F-150 bed in three lengths and measures each one inside, at the floor. Cover listings round that number, which is why a 5.5 ft bed shows up here as 5'7". A tape along the floor from the front wall to the closed tailgate settles it.

BAK, UnderCover, Extang and Retrax call the long bed 8' and TruXedo and Access call it 8'2", while Roll-N-Lock uses 8' for 2015 to 2020 trucks and 8'2" for 2021 to 2026. BAK's Revolver X4s parts say 6'6" for the same 6.5 ft bed, and some 2001 to 2008 parts say 5'6". Ford lists the same floor lengths for 2015 to 2020 and 2021 to 2026 trucks, yet most brands still make a separate part for each generation, so match your model year as well as your bed. Parts for 2009 to 2014 and 2004 to 2008 trucks are here too.
Pro Access tailgate and cargo track
Ford's Pro Access tailgate, offered from 2024, swings open like a door. In our fitment data it changes the part only for UnderCover's one-piece lids, covered in the FAQ below. One owner who paired it with a hard roll-up wrote:
“This tonneau cover combined with Ford's new Pro Access tailgate make the truck's bed so much more useful! Also, installation was significantly easier than the retractable covers I've used on previous trucks. Unboxing to fully installed was around 30 minutes.”

Ford's factory cargo management track matters too. On 2004 to 2014 trucks, several Access and TruXedo soft roll-ups are listed only for beds without it. Roll-N-Lock flags its 2021 to 2026 M-Series 5'7" and 8'2" parts and its 2015 to 2026 M-Series XT 5'7" and 6'7" parts as not compatible with the factory track.
Raptor, Lightning and older trucks
Pick Raptor in the selector if you drive one: 25 series list the 2021 to 2026 Raptor, against 56 for the standard 5'7" bed. The F-150 Lightning is its own model in the selector, so pick Lightning there. The 44 series that list it use the same 2021 to 2026 5'7" part as the F-150.
For a 2004, check the body. Ford built the new F-150 alongside the F-150 Heritage, which kept the 1997 to 2003 body. The two take different covers. Flareside covers here fit 1997 to 2003 trucks and the 2004 Heritage. No cover here lists a 2004 to 2008 Flareside bed.
Choosing a cover for the F-150
The 5'7" SuperCrew bed has the widest choice, and on a bed that short, reaching all of it matters. The BAKFlip MX4 ($1,199.99) folds flush to the cab to open all 67 inches and carries 400 lb closed. The RetraxONE MX ($1,549.99) slides into a canister at the front wall and locks at any point, and a 2023 F-150 owner reports it works well with the power tailgate. The trade is a little bed length for the canister and a 200 lb rating, half the MX4's.
The 8 ft bed on Regular Cab and SuperCab work trucks has the shortest list: 23 series for 2021 to 2026 trucks and no one-piece lid. Seven hard folding covers fit it, among them the UnderCover Flex ($1,099.99) and Extang Solid Fold ALX ($1,199.99), but only three retractables do: Roll-N-Lock's M-Series and M-Series XT and the RetraxPRO MX. With a crossover toolbox behind the cab, the Extang Solid Fold Toolbox 2.0 ($1,249.99) fits 2021 to 2026 6'7" and 8' beds.
Eleven series on the F-150 have T-slot rails for cross bars or a bed rack. The TruXedo Pro X15 TS ($669.99) is the entry point, but check your rack against TruXedo's chart on its page first, because only 5 of the 19 racks and accessories it lists keep the cover working. The BAKFlip MX4 TS ($1,449.99) and RetraxONE XR ($1,699.99) are the mid-price hard covers, and the RetraxPRO XR ($2,299.99) steps up to double-wall aluminum slats, a 500 lb rating and a limited lifetime warranty. For push-button opening, the Retrax EQ ($2,799.99) runs from a key fob, app or touchpad.
A soft cover suits a tight budget and loads that stay below the rails, and Extang's Trifecta covers lift off without tools. Every soft cover here starts under $700 on the F-150, from the Extang Trifecta e-Series ($339.99) to the TruXedo Deuce ($699.99). On a 2021 to 2026 8 ft bed the soft choices are the Extang Trifecta 2.0, four TruXedo series (Lo Pro, Pro X15, Pro X15 TS and Deuce) and three from Access (Lorado, Original and Toolbox Edition).
Brands we carry for the F-150
Nine brands build covers for the F-150 on this page. The table shows one or more series from each.
The Extang Trifecta 2.0 ($469.99) fits every 2015 to 2026 F-150 bed and clamps on by hand with no drilling. The 5'7" and 6'7" parts come in under $500 and the 8 ft part costs a little more. It folds to open two-thirds of the bed and lifts off without tools when you need all of it. Skip it if cargo will sit on top, since Extang publishes no load rating for the tarp, or if a tight seal matters: a 2023 Lightning owner on the shared 5'7" part says it sits about an inch short at the tailgate and leaks.
The BAKFlip MX4 ($1,199.99) fits all three 2015 to 2026 beds, and BAK puts the clamp-on install at about 30 minutes. It is rated for 400 lb against the Solid Fold ALX's 600 lb, but it opens the whole bed where the ALX opens two-thirds. Skip it if you plan to mount a rack: the MX4 TS adds T-slot rails, on 5'7" and 6'7" beds only.
The BAK Revolver X4s ($1,399.99) rolls onto a spool rather than into a canister, so the Raptor's short bed keeps its full length. It carries BAK's Level-3 security rating and a 400 lb load rating, and it lists all three Raptor generations: 2010 to 2014, 2017 to 2020 and 2021 to 2026. Skip it if you want cross bars: the rack-ready Revolver X4 TS does not list the Raptor, but the RetraxONE XR and TruXedo Pro X15 TS do.
UnderCover sprays the Elite LX ($1,499.99) in Ford factory paint codes and rates the lid for 500 lb. It is one of two one-piece lids here with a 5'7" part for 2024 to 2026 trucks that have the Pro Access tailgate. Skip it if you want to drop the tailgate with the lid locked, because the lid holds the tailgate shut.
T-slot rails for bikes and racks
The RetraxONE XR ($1,699.99) has integrated T-slot rails on 2015 to 2026 5'7" and 6'7" beds, and it lists the 2021 to 2026 Raptor.
Rated for 600 lb
Extang rates the Solid Fold ALX ($1,199.99) for up to 600 lb spread across the closed panels, on all three 2015 to 2026 F-150 beds.
Drain tubes carry water out
The RetraxPRO XR ($2,299.99) seals against the bed rails and sends water out through integrated drain tubes, on 5'7" beds from 2009 and 6'7" beds from 2015.
F-150 tonneau cover FAQs
What bed length does my F-150 have?
On 2015 to 2026 trucks, SuperCrews have the 5.5 ft or 6.5 ft bed, every Raptor has the 5.5 ft bed and the 8 ft bed comes only on Regular Cab and SuperCab trucks. 2004 to 2008 SuperCabs also came with the 5.5 ft bed. To be sure, measure inside the bed at the floor: about 67 inches is the 5'7" bed, about 79 inches the 6'7" and about 98 inches the 8 ft. Then pick that bed in the selector.
Do covers work with the Pro Access tailgate?
Yes, with one check for one-piece lids. UnderCover lists its LUX and SE only for trucks without the Pro Access tailgate, while the Elite and Elite LX come in a 5'7" version for 2024 to 2026 trucks that have it. On a 6'7" bed with Pro Access, no one-piece lid here fits. No folding, roll-up or retractable cover here has a separate part for 2024 to 2026 trucks or for Pro Access, so for those you match year and bed as usual.
Will an F-150 cover fit an F-250 or F-350 Super Duty?
No. The Super Duty short bed is about 6'9" against the F-150's 6'7", and even the 8 ft beds take separate parts: the only covers here that list both trucks fit 1999 and older F-250s. Super Duty owners can pick their truck in the selector on our tonneau covers page.
Does a bedliner change which cover I can use?
Usually only a drop-in liner does. Roll-N-Lock says a spray-in liner or bare bed needs no changes, but a drop-in plastic liner must be cut back so the canister and drain tubes fit. UnderCover says its one-piece brackets may need a drop-in liner trimmed to sit flat. One owner fitting an M-Series to a 2017 F-150 6'7" bed reports trimming the drop-in liner.
Will a tonneau cover keep my F-150 bed dry?
Mostly. BAK, Retrax, UnderCover, Roll-N-Lock and TruXedo stop short of calling their covers waterproof. Most F-150 owners in our reviews report a dry bed, or a little water at the tailgate, after heavy rain or a car wash. The leak complaints come from Extang Trifecta owners, two of them with a 2023 Lightning, who say the cover sits short at the tailgate. Covers with drain tubes, such as the BAKFlip MX4 and RetraxONE MX, carry water out of the bed.
