Every cover on this page fits the Ford Maverick and its single 4.5 ft bed. Brands label that one bed 4'4" or 4'6", so after you pick your year, check both sizes in the selector to see every part.
Ford builds every Maverick as a unibody SuperCrew with one bed: 54.4 inches long at the floor, 53.1 inches at the top and 42.6 inches between the wheel wells. Hybrid, EcoBoost, Tremor and Lobo trucks share those numbers, and the 2025 refresh redesigned the grille, bumper and headlamps but left the bed alone. So each series here makes a single Maverick part.
Brands label that bed two ways. Most list it as 4'4", TruXedo and the LOMAX Stance call it 4'6" and Roll-N-Lock lists its M-Series parts under both. The labels mean the same bed, so there is nothing to measure: check both sizes in the selector to see every part.
Most parts list 2022 to 2026 trucks. The five Access soft roll-ups and the LOMAX Stance already list 2027, but the UnderCover ArmorFlex stops at 2025, so 2026 owners should pick UnderCover's Flex, Ultra Flex or Select.
No part is split by trim or factory option in our fitment data: FLEXBED, the Tough Bed spray-in liner and the sliding tie-down rails on the 2026 Lariat and Tremor leave the part number unchanged.
Choosing a cover for the Maverick
Ford says the bed and its multi-position tailgate take up to 18 sheets of half-inch 4x8 plywood. Loads like that only ride with the cover open, so on a 54-inch bed the first question is how much of it a cover gives back.
Hard folding covers that stand against the cab give it all back. The BAKFlip MX4 ($1,199.99) carries 400 lb closed and keeps the third brake light in view at every position, and the BAKFlip G2 ($1,099.99) folds the same way with a 300 lb rating and a 3-year warranty against the MX4's five. The Extang Solid Fold ALX ($1,199.99) carries 600 lb but opens two-thirds of the bed.
Hard roll-ups suit a bed this short because they wind onto a spool at the front wall, not into a canister. The BAK Revolver X4s ($1,399.99) carries BAK's top Level-3 security rating, and a 2023 Maverick owner reports it fit with no adjustments or spacers. A 2024 owner of the rack-ready Revolver X4 TS ($1,549.99) put it this way:
“It provides maximum access to the truck bed without consuming the whole rear window. This was important as it was put on a 2024 Ford Maverick & any accessible bed space is a premium. The truck is small but the locked hard cover keeps things secure in the bed, keeping more space free inside the truck.”

Retractables give up some of those 54 inches to the canister but can stop part-way. The RetraxONE MX ($1,549.99) key-locks at any point and is rated for 200 lb, while the RetraxPRO MX ($2,149.99) steps up to double-wall aluminum slats, 500 lb and a limited lifetime warranty. The Roll-N-Lock M-Series ($1,699.99) latches at three positions, and one owner fitted it to a Maverick alone in about an hour.
Seven series here add T-slot rails for bikes, a kayak or a rooftop tent. The TruXedo Pro X15 TS ($669.99) costs least, but TruXedo's own chart rates only 5 of 19 racks and accessories fully compatible, so check yours first. The BAKFlip MX4 TS ($1,449.99) keeps full bed access and the RetraxPRO XR ($2,299.99) carries 500 lb. Clamps can take patience on this bed: an owner fitting a Roll-N-Lock M-Series XT ($1,849.99) to a Maverick had to push them against the pinch weld before the cover would retract.
Five soft covers come in under $500 on the Maverick, from the Extang Trifecta e-Series ($339.99) to the Trifecta 2.0 ($469.99). They clamp on without drilling and none has its own key, so the bed is only as secure as the tailgate lock: manual on the 2026 XL, powered on the XLT, Lariat and Tremor. One Maverick owner describes the weak spot:
“I do suffer from the front corner leaks as other owners have. This leak problem is caused by not having a separation between the bed (box) and the cab, and water has no where to go.”

Brands we carry for the Maverick
Eight brands make the 38 series that fit the Maverick. The table shows their main lines and the bed label on each Maverick part.
The Extang Trifecta 2.0 ($469.99) is the most-reviewed soft cover that fits the Maverick, averaging 4.5 stars from 249 owners, and carries a limited lifetime warranty. Tool-free clamps hold it on, it folds to open two-thirds of the 54-inch bed and it lifts off for the rest. Skip it if a dry cab end matters: one Maverick owner reports leaks at the front corners.
The UnderCover Flex ($1,099.99) stands flush against the rear window on its prop rods to open the Maverick's whole bed for sheet goods, and it lifts off in seconds without tools when you want the bed bare. Closed, its gloss black panels carry 400 lb. Skip it if you want a key on the cover itself: the release cables sit inside the bed, so the locked tailgate is the only lock.
The BAK Revolver X4s ($1,399.99) pairs slash-resistant aluminum slats with locking rails along both sides of the bed and automatic slam latches, which earns BAK's top Level-3 security rating. It carries 400 lb closed, has a 5-year warranty and rolls up at the front wall, so none of the 54-inch floor goes to a canister. Skip it if you want a key on the cover: a 2023 Maverick owner points out it locks only when the tailgate does.
The BAKFlip MX4 TS ($1,449.99) adds T-slot rails for cross bars, bike or kayak carriers and tents, yet still folds flush to open the Maverick's whole bed. Its 400 lb panels wear BAK's Multi-Shield coating, rated up to 11 times more scratch resistant, which helps when a kayak slides across them. Skip it if you want an easy fit: one Maverick owner felt the mounting hardware was oversized for this truck.
T-slot rails carry a kayak
The RetraxPRO XR ($2,299.99) runs T-slot rails down both sides of the Maverick's bed, carries 500 lb closed and has a limited lifetime warranty.
Channels drain rain and snowmelt
Roll-N-Lock's M-Series ($1,699.99) sends water through integrated channels to drain tubes, and its one Maverick part is listed for both 4'4" and 4'6" beds.
Folds flat to free the whole bed
The BAKFlip MX4 ($1,199.99) stands flush against the cab to open all 54.4 inches of floor, and the third brake light stays in view in every position.
Maverick tonneau cover FAQs
What size bed does the Ford Maverick have?
One size. Ford lists every 2022 to 2026 Maverick bed at 54.4 inches along the floor, about 4.5 ft, on every trim and powertrain. Cover makers call it 4'4" or 4'6", but both labels fit your truck, so the model year is all you need to match.
Do covers fit Mavericks with FLEXBED or tie-down rails?
Yes, according to our fitment data: no Maverick part here is excluded by trim or factory option, so FLEXBED and Ford's sliding tie-down rails do not change the part you order. The rails are standard on the 2026 Lariat and Tremor and optional on the XL and XLT, and they share the bed walls with the cover's clamps. Once the cover is on, slide each tie-down from end to end to make sure it clears.
Does a bedliner change which cover fits?
Not the part, but a drop-in liner can add work. Roll-N-Lock's instructions say a spray-in liner needs no changes, and Ford fits its Tough Bed spray-in as standard on the 2026 Lariat and Tremor. A drop-in plastic liner, like the modular hard drop-in Ford offers on the XL and XLT, has to be cut back and drilled for a Roll-N-Lock canister and its drain tubes. On clamp-on covers, also check that a liner lip does not sit where a clamp grips the bed rail.
Will a cover keep the Maverick's bed dry?
Mostly, and BAK, UnderCover and TruXedo all stop short of calling their covers waterproof. One Maverick owner reports front-corner leaks under an Extang Trifecta 2.0, and another sees a gap at each side of the tailgate on a BAK Revolver X4s. Covers with drain tubes, such as the BAKFlip MX4, RetraxONE MX and Roll-N-Lock M-Series, carry what gets past the seals out of the bed.
How long does a Maverick install take?
Plan on an hour or less with hand tools. Maverick owners in our reviews report 38 minutes solo for a BAK Revolver X4 TS, under an hour for an Extang Solid Fold ALX and about an hour for a Roll-N-Lock M-Series. A 2023 owner who fitted a Revolver X4s suggests a helper to hold the rails down while you tighten the bolts.
