Ford F-250 & F-350 Super Duty Tonneau Covers & Bed Covers
Every cover on this page fits a Ford F-250, F-350 or F-450 Super Duty. Pick your year and bed in the selector, since brands list Ford's 6.75 ft bed as 6'9" or 6'10" and its 8 ft bed as 8', 8'1" or 8'2".
Every Super Duty pickup since 1999 has a 6.75 ft or 8 ft bed, measuring about 82 or 98 inches at the floor. Most long-bed parts also list the F-450. Brands round those lengths differently: BAK calls a 2017 to 2026 short bed 6'9" where TruXedo calls it 6'10", and long-bed parts read 8', 8'1" or 8'2".

Most 2017 parts carry over, but UnderCover's Elite lids change
Year breaks vary by brand: Pace Edwards changes parts at 2021, the Retrax EQ at 2022 and UnderCover's Elite and Elite LX at 2023. From 2023 those two lids list the F-250 only.
Tremor, duallies and the hitch prep package
Ford launched the Tremor for 2020 on Crew Cab trucks with the 6.75 ft bed only, so a Tremor takes the short-bed part for its year. A 2023 F-250 Tremor owner calls the fit and finish of a RetraxPRO XR excellent. No part here is split by single or dual rear wheels, and owners report standard parts on F-350 duallies.
Ford's factory fifth wheel and gooseneck prep package, offered since 2011, changes no part either, because covers clamp to the bed rails and the hitch mounts sit in the floor.
Choosing a cover for the Super Duty
With Ford's prep package or an aftermarket fifth wheel or gooseneck hitch, start there, since the hitch sits over the rear axle. A retractable such as the RetraxPRO MX ($2,249.99) locks at any point on its rails, so it can stop short of the hitch and keep the front of the bed covered.
“I purchased the RetraxPRO MX for my 2025 F-350 dually. When closed it secures items in the bed of truck. I pull a 5th wheel and like the fact you can open the bedcover and lock in position for 5th wheel access.”
RetraxPRO MX owner · 5 out of 5 stars
One owner says the canister takes about a foot of bed at the cab, and another warns that a sharp turn can put a fifth wheel's kingpin into a rail. BAK's Revolver X2 ($1,379.99) and X4s ($1,479.99) roll onto a spool at the front wall instead, and BAK lists both for most fifth-wheel setups. Rolled up, they keep the rear window and cameras clear, which matters on trucks with the third-brake-light camera Ford offered from 2017 to help line up a hitch.
Folding covers stack against the cab: one BAKFlip MX4 ($1,249.99) owner folds it up to hook a fifth wheel, and a BAKFlip G2 owner opens only the rear panels for the hitch. An Extang Endure ALX owner says the folded stack blocked the truck's camera when hooking a gooseneck, though. UnderCover's one-piece lids have to come off their hinge before either trailer goes on.
The 8 ft bed has a shorter list, with no one-piece lid or LOMAX cover. For 2021 to 2026 trucks only five retractables fit it: the RetraxPRO MX and XR, Roll-N-Lock's M-Series and M-Series XT and the Pace Edwards UltraGroove. Every BAKFlip comes in an 8 ft part, and the Extang Solid Fold ALX ($1,249.99), rated for 600 lb, fits both beds.
With a crossover toolbox, the Extang Trifecta Toolbox 2.0 ($489.99) and Access Toolbox Edition ($580.55) fit both beds on 2017 and newer trucks, and the Extang Solid Fold Toolbox 2.0 ($1,249.99) fits the 6.75 ft bed. The BAKFlip MX4 TS ($1,499.99) and BAK Revolver X4 TS ($1,629.99) put T-slot rails for cross bars on both beds. On a budget, the Extang Trifecta e-Series ($339.99), Access TonnoSport ($413) and Trifecta 2.0 ($469.99) start under $500 and fit both beds on 2017 to 2026 trucks.
Brands we carry for the F-250 and F-350
The table shows one or two series from each of the nine brands with Super Duty covers here.
The RetraxPRO MX ($2,249.99) locks at any point along its rails, so it can stop just ahead of a fifth wheel or gooseneck hitch and keep the front of the bed covered on the road. Its double-wall aluminum slats carry 500 lb, it comes in 6.75 and 8 ft parts for every Super Duty from 1999 and Retrax backs it with a limited lifetime warranty. Skip it if price leads: BAK lists the lower-priced Revolver X2 ($1,379.99) for most fifth-wheel setups too.
The BAK Revolver X4s ($1,479.99) rolls onto a spool at the front wall rather than into a canister, so no canister takes floor space and the whole 8 ft stays open for cargo. BAK makes 8 ft parts for 1999 to 2026 trucks. It carries BAK's Level-3 security rating and a 400 lb load rating, and a 2004 F-350 long-bed owner needed none of the supplied shims. Skip it if you want to tow with part of the bed covered: an owner misses driving with it partly open, which the RetraxPRO MX allows.
The Extang Trifecta Toolbox 2.0 ($489.99) runs from the tailgate to a crossover toolbox 18 to 20 inches deep, and a clamp-on L-Channel with its own seal closes the gap at the box. It fits both beds on 2017 to 2026 trucks, folds forward to the box and lifts off without tools. Skip it if you would rather not modify the bed: a 2017 F-250 long-bed owner found the clamps landed in the front stake pockets and had to cut into them.
The Extang Trifecta 2.0 ($469.99) fits both beds on every Super Duty from 1999 to 2026, clamps on by hand and carries Extang's limited lifetime warranty. It folds to open two-thirds of the bed and lifts off without tools, and a 2020 F-250 owner who bought it to pull a camper reports a perfect fit. Skip it if cargo will ride on top: Extang publishes no load rating and voids the warranty if a load presses on the tarp.
T-slot rails for cross bars
The RetraxPRO XR ($2,399.99) runs T-slot rails the full length of 6.75 and 8 ft Super Duty beds from 1999 to 2026 and carries 500 lb on double-wall aluminum slats.
Lifts off without tools
UnderCover's quick-release hardware lets the Flex ($1,149.99) come off in seconds when a fifth wheel goes on, while its rails stay clamped to the 6.75 or 8 ft bed.
Folds flush to open the whole bed
The BAKFlip MX4 ($1,249.99) folds flush against the cab, latches itself when closed and carries 400 lb, on 6.75 and 8 ft beds from 2008 to 2026.
Super Duty tonneau cover FAQs
What bed length does my F-250 or F-350 have?
Every Super Duty pickup since 1999 has a 6.75 ft or 8 ft bed. Measure inside at the floor from the front wall to the closed tailgate: about 82 inches is the short bed and about 98 inches the long bed. Covers list the short bed as 6'9" or 6'10" and the long bed as 8', 8'1" or 8'2", so choose your bed in the selector rather than matching the label.
Will a cover close over a fifth wheel hitch left in the bed?
Often, as long as the hitch head sits below the top of the Super Duty's bed rails. BAK lists its Revolver X2 and X4s as compatible with most fifth-wheel setups, and a RetraxONE MX owner closes the cover over the hitch and runs the truck through a car wash with it in place. BAK says most setups rather than all, so check your hitch height against the bed depth before you order. A one-piece lid has to come off before you hitch up.
Will an F-150 tonneau cover fit my F-250?
No. The 6.75 ft Super Duty bed is longer than any F-150 short bed, and every brand here makes separate Super Duty parts for the 8 ft bed too. The only covers on this page that also list the F-150 are for F-250s from 1999 and earlier, so pick your Super Duty's year and bed in the selector.
Will a tonneau cover keep my Super Duty bed dry?
Mostly, though Super Duty owners describe a little water rather than none. A 2023 F-350 owner saw only minimal leakage near the cab after three rainstorms under a Revolver X4s, an F-350 owner says a RetraxPRO MX keeps the bed dry through rain and snow and an F-250 owner gets very little water past a BAKFlip F1 in heavy rain. Covers with drain tubes, such as the BAKFlip MX4 and RetraxPRO MX, carry water out of the bed, while the BAK Revolver lets it run off and drain through the bed.
How long does a cover take to fit on a Super Duty?
On a Super Duty, plan on an hour or so for most clamp-on covers, with a helper for the lift. Owners report about 45 minutes for a RetraxONE MX on a 2017 F-350, about an hour for a RetraxPRO MX on a 2017 truck and about two hours from unboxing for the electric PowertraxPRO MX on a 2024 F-350. The tall bed sides make the lift the hard part: one RetraxPRO MX owner found 8 ft rails almost a three-person job, harder still on a dually.
